♥"A Healthy Baby & Me" Pregnancy Group♥
Since there are a few of us who are interested in staying healthy and active during our pregnancy, I thought it would be great to start a "pregnancy group".
I know that for many of us, it is easy to get caught up in the pregnancy and sometimes we do not always worry about what kind of food we are eating or if we are active.
This group will serve as a daily, weekly, or whenever you want check-in to keep us all motivated to remain healthy and active throughout our pregnancies. Feel free to discuss whatever else you may want as well.
Here are some helpful links to check out as well:

undertherainbow... that makes me feel so much better, thanks!!
When did you all get your u/s to find out the sex? I go to the dr. every four weeks, today is one of those days. If I go in four more weeks, I'll be 19 weeks along but my doctor likes to wait until week 21 for that u/s which upsets me. I wanted to know the sex by Halloween, my favorite day of the year!!
I'm so selfish! LOL
flgirl ~ Maybe you can talk your doctor into working something out to where (s)he can do a quick check at your 19 week appointment. ![]()
Well I'm back from my appointment. Rather uneventful, as thought. Heard that strong heartbeat, which never gets old. I tend to forget what the BPM is, oh well! He found it right away and seemed pretty weirded out that he didn't have to search. I hit my dr. up for a new prescription for vitamins with stool softener in it but he said it wouldn't be covered by my insurance. Instead he gave me a bunch of samples so I can take them twice per week or so until the end. I'm hoping now that I'm in the 2nd trimester and am able to eat healthy foods once again (without that gag reflex kicking in, lol) that I'll be on the more "regular" side (sorry, tmi) by nature, lol!
I go back in three weeks for a TSH level check and the genetic testing (did any of you do the genetic testing, I hear it's not 100% accurate). I won't find out the sex of the gummy bear until November 4th, this seems so far away!!
That's my update....
I hope everyone is doing great! Can't wait to hear updates.
OMG! We cursed you. LOL! Blessed you rather.
Any thoughts for a name?
I am soooo exited for you. I had my 36 week appointment yesterday and all is well. Weight gain has stopped for me at 18(reluctently relieved), but baby is growing fine. I am chosing not to do internals, which my midwife is not a proponent of until the 38th week if I did want one. Figure there's no messing with destiny. Bier and I are racing to be the next to pop. She's got me by one day, but we'll see. ![]()
Bier- due 10/14
Shill- due 10/15 ...place your bets.
undertherainbow - Congrats on the news of a little girl! At least it's been confirmed!!
Shill and Bier are just to close to call right now! We'll have to wait and see around the 38 week mark...
Wow! Less than a month to go Shill! I bet you are ecstatic! I love the name you have chosen by the way.
UTR- You have no idea how anxious I am. I am seriously about to start making wreathes again to keep myself busy. I am sooo heading to Wally World tonight. I will probably buy fall decorations too. I don't feel bad or anything; I just can't wait.
I've been getting the warm up contractions lately and she's dropped even more. Thank God I haven't developed a waddle (except when I have to pee badly). The name is family derived. Ella is a great aunt (passed away) and Katherine is my grandmother's. I can't wait til you pick a name. I love hearing them all.
I can only imagine Shill!
undertherainbow- I'm excited to be shopping for cutesy girly baby stuff too! I was secretly hoping for a girl just because I knew the shopping would be so much fun! (I'd have been happy with a boy as well, though!)
I'm in my 27th week and excited. We decided on the name Maegan, finally! Now for a middle name...I definitely want something unique!
Hubby suggested I start a baby site for Maegan- anone know some good places where I can start one for free or pretty cheap? Has anyone done one of these before? I just wonder if all the information will still be there for her to look back on when she's grown up, ya know?
Hope everyone is feeling good and doing great!
Maegan is such a pretty name, hotmomtobe.
Here are some that I found:

Each vary in their own way so you'll have to check them out to see what fits you best. If you do a search on google, there are a ton more as well.
Hello ladies..... Well, I had my "almost" 18 week appointment today (I'm 18 weeks tomorrow). Went well. Dr. had a tough time finding the heartbeat at first, made me and my husband a little nervous but then there it was! Afterward, I went for some bloodwork... genetic testing and thyroid testing. Should have the results by Thursday! We're going for our second ultrasound on 10/28 so we'll find out the sex! Originally we were told it would be November. I'm so excited to know before Halloween.
That's all for now.....
Yay! I'm glad that you get to find out sooner than expected!
Just got "the call" with genetic testing results... a big fat NEGATIVE!!! I'm so much more relaxed now. My thyroid levels are back in the "normal" range too... so I continue the meds until I give birth and all is well...
Now... Shill... did you pop that baby out yet?
That's great that the test was negative, flgirl!
Now it's the waiting game to find out what your bundle of joy is. ![]()
Hello ladies!! Had our 22 week ultrasound today... it's another BOY! We're so excited and can't wait to go home and tell the kids! My husband gets one son and I get the other after work. He looks beautiful (I'll put up pics) and he weighs in at one pound, right on schedule!
Feeling good... gaining that pound per week. Started with the extra water retention but I'm great!
Hope everyone else is good too!
Aww flgirl, I'm so excited for you!!
I have my next appointment on Halloween. I'll be 16 weeks.
And then I get to go for my second ultrasound when i'm 18 weeks and will find out baby's sex. :D I'm so excited for that!
I can't make up my mind what sex I'd rather have! I think because it's my first I have no preferences.
Are you ladies working-out while you're pregnant?
Thank you aeetheri! I have to say, the thought of having three boys AND a husband is exciting! I'm way out numbered but hey, I guess it's the plan for us!
Take my advice, try not to lean either way for the baby's sex. You don't want to be let down... it's such an exciting time when you find out! You can't change what's already there so just embrace it!
I had planned on working out my entire pregnancy but I haven't been. I want to start walking again now that it's finally cooler out. I do Yoga when I can, last time I put the DVD in and started, it felt horrible. I'm trying not to give up though! What are you doing for exercise?

Forget walking or running outside here for a while. The lovely western NY weather has been blessing us with sleet and flurries with rain and strong winds. Today isn't tooo bad, but it's like 35 degrees. I can't really take the baby out in that. I've been using the dreaded treadmill. Ugh!
How have you liked the DVD?
