can you heat cottage cheese?

there is a nice pancake recipe that has cottage cheese.

Can I use friendship cottage cheese for that? last time, the cottage cheese melted in the microwave and the smell was bad.

Don't you think the recipe wouldn't have it if it wasn't doable? :)  Yes, you can use cottage cheese in hot recipes.

I know but last time as I said the cheese smelled bad and it didn't work out well. Maybe friendship cottage cheese in not microwavable?

i used to use it for mac+cheese so yes, you can heat it

maybe the cottage cheese was just bad?  I don't know sometimes smell weird when you heat them in the microwave anyway, at least in my experience.  It will probably be different when mixed with other ingredients and cooked on the stove.  Give it a try anyway
