Any one want to join the club, its for people that go to the gym atleast 5 times a week, we can discus routines, goals, and anything that's relevant to the topic of going to the gym as much as we do

Sounds good to me. I usually hit up the gym 4-6 days a week. I try to run intervals for 20 minutes, elliptical 30 mins to an hour, and I alternate weight training arms and legs. I also try to fit in yoga, bellydance, and kickboxing classes a few days a week.

7 days a week 80 minutes a day, not to mention the beach, football, and soccer.  I'd join.

I'm game! I go 5-6 times a week... 70% cardio 30% weights/strength training (I'm just going into week 2 of the 100 push-ups challenge). I can always use new routine ideas or exercise ideas as it's hard not to get stuck in a rut and/or bored.

I'm in! Here's my current routine (change about every 6-8 wks):

Mon: Abs & then Spin Class 60 mins

Tue: Legs (60 mins)

Wed: Chest, Tri's, & Shoulders (70 mins)

Thur: Abs & then Spin Class 60 mins

Fri: Back & Bi's (60 mins)

Sat: Run Day (at least 80 mins consistent running; usually 10 miles)

Sun: Rest/Off/Sauna Day

I'd join and as much fun as I can imagine chatting with all you guys would be, I'd honestly rather spend that time hitting the gym instead of talking about it.. ;).

Sauna Day! I never thought to use the sauna on a rest day. Thanks for the idea! This winter I'll have to try it out.

I read somewhere about heat really aiding the healing of muscles. Since I rip up my legs like 4 days a week with spin, running, and weights I need all the help I can get! lol, so on my off days I sauna, I tan, I sleep. It's basically just a re-coop day, and by monday I'm usually feeling pretty good. :)

I love the sauna! I try to put in 5 minutes after I've cooled down from my work-outs. I generally feel better afterwards and have less soreness the next day. Also, the moist air has been great for my lungs and my breathing.

Next rotation is Lats and Shoulders is my focu

systemdrop, I'm with you on change ups. I'm on this schedule for 50 days. For this 50 day stindt I am not drinking any alcohol or smoking pot. I have a pretty regulated diet too...

Breakfast: 4 egg whites w/ 1 tsp olive oil. 1/2 cup fiber one w/ 14 cup silk unsweetened. 1st Snack: CarbRite Bar. Lunch: 3.5 oz chicken & 1/4 cup quinoa. 2nd Snack: 2-3 cups raw veggies. Post workout shake: 1scp CellMass Creatine, 1scp Elite Dymatize Protein Powder, 1scp Glyco-Maize Waxy Maze w/ 16oz water/ice. Dinner: 4 egg whites, 3.5 oz chicken/shrimp, 1 slice kraft fat-free cheese.

Still leaves me at 1100 cals for the day with all my fiber/fat/protein/carb goals met for the day so I can eat whatever I want within the 200-250 calorie range in the day. (nice in case I have to eat something my co-workers provided or in case I accidently run into a brownie/sourdough/peanut butter of some kind, lol)

In 48 days I'll need to change the routine... I think I'll swap out a spin day for a yoga or pilates day. :)

In a week, I...

-Run 9-12 miles and walk 4-6 miles

-Do 2-3 full body strength training routines with 12 lb weights (where appropriate)

I wonder if the campus gym has a sauna...

edit: it does!  several, in fact, at all of its many locations!  squee!

littlemalynda, your doing the same gym rotation as i am? or are you joining me? im confused =]..

As much as I know i should I dont count cals, i just try to watch what i eat in general
