A couple days ago I tried raising my calories (around 1200-1300) because I used to not eat enough (like 1000 or less). The day after I started eating, I only gained one pound. Today, I'm three pounds heavier. Is this normal?

What kind of food are you eating? 

Also, what are your current stats?

I'm 5'5, normally 122 lbs but right now I'm 125. I even eat healthy foods. They all are the certain servings I should have from each food group. I doubt I'm eating too much because I'm only 14 and I exercise every single day, about 30 or more minutes of running.
That sounds like a normal weight to me...

Maybe your body doesn't want to lose anymore? 

I would definitely consult with your physician... if not, at least your parents on this one.

Depends on how long you were undereating.

If it was for an extended period of time, your body is going to store whatever you are feeding it because it anticipates another period of malnutrition/famine. It's not uncommon to gain weight after undereating. Don't be alarmed by it, just keep eating healthy and keep exercising, and it will eventually come back off.

PLEASE, see your doctor but unless they tell you, for some medical reason,

THAT YOU ARE OVER WEIGHT... YOU ARE PERFECT.

I never thought I was fat except when everyone else made fun of me...

My sister was thin as a toothpick and I unexpectedly spent the night at her place *age 14, borrowed a pair of jeans that fell off me!

age 20 I was feeling fat as everyone said I was...I always had the full face and thighs but my waist...SIZE 3 met my future husband and in a matter of weeks I put on 5 lbs. and actually felt good about it, I mean he liked me and I felt pretty, womanly and very much spoiled,etc. *I never tried to loose weight until 1992,I just could not gain...

5 ft. female

1988 (120) size 3 * not for long

1992 (140) size 14

2002 (190) size 16 varies

2007 (147) work in progress I slipped oops was 135

 

I am returning with the help of my husband, to a proper healthy weight range of 115-125

I am only 5 foot, medium build at my age now this is the appropriate weight

At my height and weight at age 14, I think I was 110 -115 and still 5 foot. I was at a healthy weight!

With you being taller, I cannot believe the doctor would recommend you to loose weight, PLEASE, do not start something you may regret later.

Eat healthy, use a maintenance calorie regimen and BE PROUD OF WHO YOU ARE!

DO NOT MEASURE YOUR VALUE AS A PERSON BY THE NUMBER ON A SCALE OR TAPE MEASURE...OR BY THE FASHIONS AND FADS OF TODAY!!!
