What the heck is wrong with me? I've NEVER done this before!

So something is seriously weird with my stomach. It started yesterday, I got a sore throat first and then my stomach started feeling weird. Then, last night that weird feeling turned into a knawing hunger! And it won't go away! No matter what i eat i feel like i'm starving. I"m not a binger or a late night eater, I'm not dieting, just maintaing, and usually eat around 2000+ calories a day.  Last night it was so bad that I actually had to get up in the middle of the night and I ate...here goes...

-A peanut butter and honey sandwhich

-Two glasses of milk

-A huge hunk of banana bread

-And a couple handfuls of cereal

What the HECK is going on? It kinda feels like when you're getting over the flu and you're so hungry but kind of nauseated at the same time. Does anyone know what this is? And what to do about it?

I'd go see a doctor to see if there's anything wrong with you that may be causing it.

Well, I'd wait and see if it goes away within a day or two.  It could be a touch of a virus or something.  If it doesn't go away, maybe see a doctor.  It could be a problem with your digestive tract (parasite, virus, bacteria, etc).  It could be anything from a vitamin deficiency to simply being over tired, too.

Not to freak you out, but that's how I felt when I got pregnant.  I was queasy all the time (started within a week of getting pregnant), and had to eat constantly to make myself feel at all better.  I still felt nauseous, but eating helped.

from what you wrote in your journal, your body is just drinking in all the protein it's been lacking for so long.  you didn't go and eat cake or doritos or something.  see the doc if it goes on, though.

lb0802, me too. I didn't want to say it, but you said it first so I figured I could at least agree with you :)

But yeah, as with anything...if you go more than a week without feeling 'normal' just visit your doctor.
