Guys I had about a cup and a fourth of white rice in my dinner tonight but then when I looked at the nutrion facts after I ate it it says it is 160 calories per 1/4 of cup! AHHH. Thats 800 calories! Then I read its that many calories uncooked, but it was cooked. Does rice grow in size when it gets cooked? If so by how much and how many calories do you think I ate!?!? HELP I am freaking out here!

hiya, it does grow in size when cooked so you probably only ate bout 1/2 a cup in reality, besides on a plate it looks like you ate more than you did.

white rice is high calorie food, but a least you know that for the future now, so dont worry bout it too much ok

so best of luck,

unouno

Chill out. No worries here. When I cook white rice, I cook about 1/2 cup UNCOOKED, and it equals about 1 cup COOKED. So don't worry, it's nowhere NEAR what you were thinking. :)

But if you were cooking sticky rice, then 1/4 cup UNCOOKED is about 150, but that expands, too. Either way, I think you'll be OK.

Ahh good to hear guys, I was freaking out! ahah. It says one cup uncooked rice cooks three cups cooked rice on the back Embarassed So 1/4 cup would probably be 3/4 cup cooked. Phew, I was about to have a heart attack! I most likely only had about 320 calories. I am relieved with joy :D

If you click on that, it should bring you to cooked rice.  Just pick a grain and go :)
