You need to unpack the story a little. You don't say if you're male or female but 168lbs is a very dead centre, perfect weight for someone 6' tall. BMI 22.8. So you don't need to lose any weight. http://www.bcm.edu/cnrc/bodycomp/bmiz2.html Check this chart to see what I mean. And you can read off the 'Daily Energy Requirement' to get an estimate of a calorie target to maintain your weight.
If you have a 'belly' the first place to start is to look at the quality of your diet. In slim, healthy people a poor diet can show up as a wobbly belly due to fluid retention. Make sure you're getting plenty of fresh wholefoods each day.... vegetables, wholegrains, fruit, meat, fish, oils, dairy products. And try to avoid processed food that tend to be high in sugar, salt, preservatives, flavourings, caffeine, alcohol and the other things that can make fluid retention worse. Drink plenty of clear fluids.... water & tea rather than things like colas, diet sodas or gatorade.
Protein shakes are just a way of adding calories as a drink.... they don't make anyone muscular all by themselves - the picture on the tub is just a marketing device! If you get your full energy requirement from 'real food', get a good balance of different foods and do some strengthening/toning exercises (lifting weights for example) you will improve your muscle tone and be much healthier than if you drink what are just glorified milkshakes.
I second GI-Jane very quickly and simply.....you are a perfect weight for your height
My younger brother is 19- 6'3" and the airforce made him gain weight- he now weighs about 168...don't worry!
