Hellllp! I'm having a meltdown :'(
Ok everyone, I know you don't want to hear it, but it's true. I'm having a meltdown. A serious, tear-filled meltdown, and I'd like as many opinions as I can get. I weighed in this morning at 106.8. During the entire month of August I was sitting at about 105. Now I know that's not much of a difference, let alone a difference enough to be cryin' about. BUT, I feel significantly larger than that. Not only do I feel bigger, I feel like i LOOK bigger... especially around the upper thighs/butt area. So here's what I did...
...in my gallery, I have a straight on picture of myself in my bikini. Today I decided to take the same picture and compare. I look at the two of them, and I feel as though I (well, mostly my upper thighs) look a lot bigger in the picture I took today (mind you, the weights in both pics are the exact same!)
If you people could PLEASE look at and compare these pictures and let me know what you think?! Either on here, or message me. Seriously, I need to know what other people (who don't know me and see me every day) think. My mind is going crazy right now...
Thank you in advance to anyone who shares their input. I can take the criticism if you've got any for me... thanks so much.
Edit: My face also feels and appears (to me) to be rounder...
Thanks for your input. I just got back from a 4 mile run and the tan-ness thought came to my mind too when I was running. I just want to get back down to my normal weight and stop freaking out! :o)
If anyone else has any thoughts though, please post them!
Honestly, your legs don't appear any bigger. Your arms are more toned though, and oh my LORD those abs!!
You have an amazing bikini body! Whatever you're seeing, I don't see it, even a trick of lighting ... maybe you were just having a "bleh" morning!
Your stomach is killer...I would honestly say that it's time for you to forget about weight loss and work on maintenance. So if 1.8 lbs (scales are not completely accurate) on the scale freaks you out this much, what happens when your run into a spider?
Hahaha, I HATE spiders!!! So pretty much the same reaction, haha. No joke.
I don't think I need professional help, although, thanks for the advice :) I think my meltdown was partially because I had a much bigger breakfast than usual, my kids at work were terror this morning, I didn't workout yesterday, and you know what's coming in about a week or so. :)
I went for a 4 mile run and I feel much better! Thanks everyone...
I will try really hard not to write any more posts like this, it's unnecessary for me, and I know there are several of you out there that are on a mission to lose a ton of weight, and for that, you deserve more credit in the world than I ever deserved!
We all have our off days; don't sweat it. Perhaps the stress was what caused the meltdown-not the weight gain. The scale just might have just been the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak. Either way, don't worry about it :) I think you look absolutely amazing. I would love to have a body like that by the time I reach my goal weight! :)
I don't think you should refrain from writing posts like this. It's probably theraputic to do so. That, and it seems you found the true reason for the meltdown by ranting to us. :D
I completely understand... at one time in my life I was quite thin too and thought I was fat if I gained 1 pound. But my word of advice, is just be careful. When you start obsessing about your weight (like I did) it leads you to places you don't ever need to be. I became bulemic. I am not saying at all that I think you are close to that stage, but be aware not to let yourself get there. Just be careful.
Look in the mirror and see how beautiful you are - whatever the scale says. The scale can change drastically during the day, before or after breakfast, before and after you poop (I know no one like to think about that), before or after your period so who knows where that 1 pound came from.
Keep working out and doing your thing... and see how beautiful you really are.
Love Lisa
