Hello all!

Hi there, i'm Rachael and this isnt my first time on this site but i've never gotten involved with groups before and i'm hoping it will really help me stay motivated this time.

I started trying to lose weight and become healthier just a few days ago.  My start weight was 181 lbs.  I'm hoping to get down to 130 eventually because thats what I was at only a little over two years ago, but my first goal is to hit 160 before the end of june.

I've been doing pretty well eating low calorie foods the past few days while still trying to eat healthy but i'm worried about my motivation, I tend to be very motivated at first and then just fizzle out.  I'd love to have people to talk to and to check in with to keep me motivated.

Hi Darcy:

I know its hard to stay motivated.  But I can tell you that staying with it, you will tell that you feel so much better.  I'm not even tempted with cookies and icecream at night anymore.  I opt for the healthier apple or banana or something alot better.  You can do it! Smile

Thanks Rach!  How long have you been sticking with eating lower calories?

So far i've been haven't been having trouble because I found I really like certain apples and have been having those before bed as a snack, and sometimes yogurt.  I think my biggest problem is going to be my love for pasta and how much I enjoy eating out.  I cook a lot and love homemade alfredo, so i'm wondering how i'm going to deal when I get a craving for that, or one of my other pasta favorites.  I'm going to at least try limiting myself to eating out once a month with the occasional exception of low calorie sushi.
