Well, I went to the doc for my annual yesterday and unfortunately, I could not hide the fact that I have gained back all but 4 of the 28 pounds I had lost last year.  All back in one year!!!  So, once again I am motivated to lose not only this 24 but a total of 45 hopefully by this time next year.  It will probably take longer with my goal of 1-2 pounds a week.  I had joined the YMCA a couple of months ago but have only been exercising 2 days a week on my lunch hour which does not allow for much activity.  I am going to increase the visits and add some  home exercise on the days I can't go to the Y.  She tells me for weight loss a person needs to exercise 40 minutes 7 days a week.  A lofty goal, but I can work my way up to it.  I went to the Y on Wednesday, walked 25 minutes last night (all my back and feet would stand) and will go to the Y at lunch today. 

I discovered this website yesterday and have plugged in my food intake and activity.  Question: is there a place on the website where you can link the food and activity logs and have the calorie intake adjusted for your activity or do you have to just keep up with the calorie adjustment for activity levels manually on your own?

I look forward to getting to know all of you out there.

If you really do bump up your activity level on a permanent basis I believe you can adjust your activity level (calories burned bmi) on the calorie target area of the tab that says Tools, calorie target.  Change it from the current activity level to the new level you want.

Nice to meet you.  Most of us realize we aren't going to lose weight quickly with a lot of exercise.  Howeverr, Muscle burns more calories than fat does.  so the more muscle we have in comparison to fat, the more we burn even while sitting still.
