Hello to all/ new here
Hey everyone, I am new to calorie count for about a week now. I had had considerable difficulties losing weight and found this site while surfing on the internet. I chose this group because I love to cook but my cooking is not as healthy as it should be. I need a change in the preparation of foods not only for my benefit but my husband's as well. I felt that this group might could give me some ideas on healthy cooking. My husband loves potato salad. When I fix it I use Hellman's lite mayo. Is there any other way it can be made lighter? Also, what is the daily percentages needed for 1)carbs, 2)protein, 3)fats. Thanks and nice to meet you all! See Ya.
I can never remember the percentages, but as for the potato salad!
You could always try watering down the mayonnaise with either water or white vinegar.
- carbs 54%
- protein 21%
- fats 25%
It is very hard to get to these number daily. but the closer you get the better.
Try low fat cottage cheese, water in mayo taste like water in mayo??
