Hello from Canada
Hi there!
My name is Shane, and I'm new to this 'plus' website, but have been a fan of Calorie-count.com for quite some time now.
My goal is currently 170 and I'm at 235 right now. Before I started counting calories I was at 245 - 250 so I'm happy about the progress I've made so far, and looking forward to my safe and steady decline from my current weight to something much healthier for my frame.
All friends welcome, I'm good with offering support and I know I need it from time to time. I'm a writer by passion, and an office drone by subjugation. Photography, sculpting, computer games, web design, developmental psychology, quantum physics, pretty much anything and everything are things I enjoy doing.
Kinda a jack of all trades but master of none personality. Though I like Renaissance Man as a title much more than 'master of none'.
Ciao for now, and peace,
Shane
I see that you haven't completed filling out your profile with a bit more information about yourself.
I suggest that you do that. The profile is the first place that people go to find out more about members.
And, judging from your brief description here, you sound like quite an interesting fellow :)
I am sure people would love to know more about you!
Congrats on the progress you have made thus far, and I am confident with the tools and support on CC you will meet your ultimate goal without any problem.
Again, welcome and Happy New year!

Gosh! I finally found the profile section. Had some trouble locating it, but have it filled out now.
Thanks for the warm welcome!
I think it's late because I was using the old site last year and this new one offers a much easier interface with all the rest of the content, I'm thrilled!
Peace,
Shane

Hi everyone, another Canuck here - just joined up yesterday and am loving the site. Have tried others with fees, and this one is even better than those and I love getting "grades" on my nutrition :-)
Looking forward to getting to know everyone better and working torwards all of our goals.
I am soon to be 32 and wish I had listened to everyone who said "once you hit 30, you can't eat like that anymore" - 40 pounds heavier I am letting them say "told you so" :-)
I have a wedding coming up in July this year, and I'm hoping to feel and look my best that day - so I have about 6 months to lose my goal of 30 lbs to get down to 130 lbs. I love cooking so I'm looking forward to browsing through the recipes and coming up with some better, healthier options for myself.

Hi all,
Another Canadian calorie counter on board!
I guess we are CCC's.
I joined yesterday as well, I love it, I have spent hours on this site in the last 2 days, lol. I think I am addicted. Still have alot to learn, but hoping to meet some weight loss warriors and share some good advice and motivation.
2008 we can forget about the "Ate" in the past and plan the new healthy "8"...lol..I think I am loosing my mind. Cheers all, and good luck!!

I'm from Canada too,
Southern Alberta to be exact. Hi to all!
Hey all!!
I am also a new CC member from Toronto and am motivated to know that I am not the only one trying to cut a few pounds. Quite a few, oh okay...around 35 to be exact.
I am a new father of twins and would like to be around long enough to enjoy watching them grow.
I decided to start over the holidays because I figured if I could do it then, later on should be a cake walk, oopps, I meant a carrot walk.
Lets do it!!
Congrats on your twins!!
How is T.O. these days, its likley just as cold as Sarnia is.
Good for you starting over the holidays. I filled my face as much as I could because I was saying goodbye to all the foods that don't get along with me...lol...Man I will miss them, hehe..
But as I say "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels"!! So far I love this site, and logging the food is a great help, I know my mindset is very good, and I will do well over the next few months, I am excited. Good luck to you!! Keep us posted![]()
