Hi, this is my first post on here and i thought id share my story. Im 22 and live in PA, i graduated from high school in 2003 and my highest weight in high school was 336 pounds. Since then about year and a half ago, i managed to get myslef to 165 pounds! I decided to eat better, and eat less, no soda, no fast food and i also stopped eating after 7:00 at night. thats all i did, only about a 5 months ago did i start exersizing.. i went from riding a bike to running and im starting to enjoy it. when i was at 336 pounds i promised myself that if i ever got into shape i would join the military and create a better life for myself, currently i am thinking about doing so and serving my country. I ran 2 miles earlier today in 16:37 which is my best ever.. i wish everybody the best of luck on thier porgrams and if anybody wants so advice of what worked for me or anything of that nature thats cool too. Good luck everybody and don't give up.

Congrats on losing more then half your weight! Way to go!   If you are serious about joining the military, please make sure that you qualify for a job you will love.  Try and get it in writing from your recruiter.   No I am not against the military, just the opposite, I have had a son in the Marine Corp for 7 years and he loves it... but he is not infantry.  He is a helo mech.  I also have a "adopted"  son in the coast guard ( he is my middle sons friend and I swear he never went home in high school and now is stationed a half hour away, and now I swear he still knows when I am cooking dinner..lol )  But I have heard horror stories from other parents whos kids hated it, the military is not for everyone. What ever you choose to do with your life, I wish you luck!
Wow!! That's awesome!! I'm amazed.. you go girl!!
Wow, very good job!  I feel like losing weight is a daunting task, but you're at my current weight right now and coming from 336 you've really inspired me.  I can't even imagine how much motivation and determination you must have had to lose so much so quickly.  I hope to have as much of those as you must have had to reach my weight loss goal.
ur my hero!
Thank you for sharing your story.  I'd like to hear more about how you did it and how long it took.  Hope you'll come back to share tips.
