Hello everybody!

Hi, everybody!

My name's Josephine, and I'm 28. Three years ago I was 60kg and was so happy with it. Then, looking for a job, my boyfriend leaves me, had problems with my back (no gym) and I put on some weight. Nothing serious, but it's 18 months I try to lose these kilos (with the help of a nutritionist) and I'm a victim of the yo-yo effect. I start losing weight and then put on again. It's my fault because I like sweets and high-carb things, like bread. My food plan works, it's just me: sometimes I just give in and start eating what I shouldn't and I've to start everything all over again.

My friends don't understand me, it's nice them keeping telling me I'm looking good as I am, but I want to be back to my old self. I can start exercising again, I found a job I - and I'm not exaggerating - adore. I just need somebody who can understand what dieting means (none of my friend is doing it or feels the need to do it) and can support me on my way down to lose my last 7 kg (more or less 14 lbs).

Hope this somebody (or some people) are here in this group

You all take care,

Jo

PS: I'm from Switzerland. Any other Swiss out there?

Hi Josephine!

I've been a victim of the yo yo effect myself. I think it happens many of us that when we do well in our weight-loss plans we end up sabotaging it. Personally, what usually happens me is that I will break out eating unhealthy food and won't notice the weight gain straight away. This makes me think that I'm invincible and eat what I want until I notice I've put on 4 kg again (about 9 lbs) - just like that! And then I have to start over...

Anyway, the point is, it sounds like you're starting up on a new chapter of your life with a new job that you enjoy and the like. So if you can just stick to your plan (as much as possible) and enjoy yourself at the same time, you will do great. It's all about perseverance after all. Just keep working at it and it will pay off!

Best of luck!
