Hello Everyone

Hello everyone. I'm new to this site. I found it yesterday while at work and signed up. I've had a gym membership for about 2 years but really never used it. Now that I've graduated from college I've started going back to school. I started at the beginning of the year and in about 6 months I lost 20 lbs. It felt great. I could see it when I looked in the mirror and my cloths felt a lot looser. But now I've hit a problem. What I've been doing at the gym is no longer working. for the past 1.5 - 2 months I haven't lost anything. I've mainly been doing cardio and "trying" to control what I eat. Now I've taken the leap and gotten in the personal trainer program at the gym. This is the first time I've felt pushed to exercises this hard and it sure does hurt. I hope now I will start dropping the fat again and gaining new muscle. I hope to find people on here from the DFW area that I may chat with and to encourage each other in our pursuit for a healthier life.

I know exactly what you mean, Plateaus suck!

But don’t be discouraged it’s just something we have to go thru.

Keep in mind that food %80 – exercise 20% (you 100%) responsible for your weight loss. Keep a calorie deficit of 500-800 a day either thru calorie restriction or exercise.

Lifting weights is a great way to go it benefits you so much in the long run & you’ll look much better. just remember to give your muscle a day rest to repair & grow.
