I'm Dave. I'm 31, and I live in Northridge in the San Fernando Valley. I quit smoking about 3 years ago, then endured a pretty horrible family tragedy shortly thereafter. Subsequently, I blew up from 180 lbs (I'm 5'10") to about 250. I didn't care much, I was wrapped up in all my misery ... One day it hit me that I could literally have a heart attack. I started running and going to the gym along with eating less junk and dropped 30 lbs pretty quickly. So, here I sit at about 220, with another 40 lbs to go. I'm lucky; I don't look "fat" because I have a pretty big frame but I definitely look overweight. Tough change from being a thin, fit and healthy guy. Anyhow, I found myself stalled at this 220 lbs.. so It's time to spring into action again. I'm thinking that joining this group and meeting some new people might really motivate me to reach my goals.
