Hello there!

My name is Yvette and I have been on and off calorie count since 2006. Since then I have lost 19 pounds, gained a few in preparation for getting pregnant (orange juice, and no more sugarfree stuff) and then gotten pregnant and gained 32 pounds. My low was 135 (prepregnancy and my high was 173 (pregnant). So, here I am, my son is just over 2 months old and I have lost somewhere in the neighborhood of 25 pounds since he was born. I would like to get back to 135, but mostly, I would like to get healthy. Calorie count helps me to keep track of myself and to be more conscious of what I put in my body. I have been attending a evening aqua boxing class every Thursday since I was 14 weeks pregnant and that has really helped me to tone and strengthen. What keeps me going is the plain and simple fact that when I eat healthier, I feel better and have more energy. This really helps considering I have an energetic 3 year old and a demanding 2 month old. I eat perfectly everyday, but I am on the right track I think. I am relatively new to the St. Louis area. I moved here two years ago after growing up in southern California. I really love the quality of life we have because we are no longer stuck in a 2 bedroom apartment! Anyhow, that's enough for now, I gotta get back to work!

A belated Welcome Yvette!  Aqua boxing...never heard of it, sounds fun!

Congrats on the weight loss!  I've just really started trying to get healthy due to borderline diabetic and high cholesterol.  I've lost 10 so far but have a long way to go.  I'm interested in hearing about your moving experience.  My husband wants to move to Florida this summer where he is from.  I'm terrified because I've lived in Illinois all of my life.  Was it a good experience to move that much of a distance??
