Hello, Looking to meet folks getting healthier.
Hello,
I am Joe, I am a 42 year old living in Jacksonville Fl. I am not exactly new to losing weight and have probally lost and gained nearly 1000lbs in my life. Lately (over the last 5 years) I seem to have reversed what was my track record of gaining weight every year by eating a lower/reduced carb diet. As long as I stay away from the breads, cakes, sugars I keep losing weight. I know its sad but most scales do not go over 300lbs so I dont know what my start weight really was. Take a look at my photos and see what you think. I believe I was close to 400lbs at one time. I went from a size 50 pants down to a size 44 and the scale at publix never went below 300lbs. Very dissapointing.... When I hit size 40 I decided to weigh myself again and low and behold I was at 285. the next week I was at 283 so now I am really motivated to get on down to my immediate goal of 250, and perhaps even to 230 by January. I found this website while surfing and think it is goign to be a wonderful addition which will help me keep track of my eating habits and excercise habits. In the beginning I was a member of another website and the support from friends there was always helpful and I hope to make new friends here and gain support as we lose weight together.

You have done well. You want me to help you out with motivation? I can do that. I am 6', 155, 31" waist. I wasn't always that way. Went from 192 to 155 and if I can do that, anyone can buddy.
Let me tell you something. I went from a 38 to 31 waist in less than 4 months. I would not have done that if I ate peanut butter. Get rid of it. No more. No sweets and no salt. The time is going to pass. Better to work on your new body than to feed the old one. You are not giving up anything but weight.
I know about snacks and fast food. I did it, but without it I lost 37 pounds. Think about it. I can' t loose what you want to because I only weigh what you want to loose. Imagine that you could lose an entire person! You gotta do this and feel free to report to me.
Good Luck!
Jon
Joe,
Your story really gives me inspiration ... well done my friend!
I'm just at the beginning of my quest to get healthy, secondary is to losing weight. This site has been extremely helpful in keeping me motivated and accountable. The scale at Publix is very accurate but I wish they had it in a closet so you can weigh in private LOL. Keep up the good works!
Liza
