Hello! Looking for people to help give me a boost!

Hi my name is Francesca. I am 20 years old. This year more than ever I feel like I need to better be in shape and lose weight. I have always been bigger than the average. I use to be ok being a bigger girl, but now I see healthier girls and it kinda bothers my self-esteem a bit. I just want to be able to go and shop at a juniors clothing section without without having to feel guilty of my size.  I am not very motivated. Im actually fairly lazy. Im just looking for some people to give me that added boost. I have a tendency to give up easily and thats why I have failed with diets before. So anyone will to help, plz give me a shout.

Hi Francesca,

I'm new to the site too. I'll try to help. I'm 41 and according to this thing I have 92 pounds to loose. Think this is a good tool. Give me a yell.

hi, I just became a member and have been looking around the site hoping to find a way to stay on a sensible diet.  I am 56 and according to this site I need to loose 98 lbs.  Well here I am and I'm going to try.  Good luck to you both.

Hi Francesca I am 22 and I know exactly where you are coming from! I to have always been the "big" one or the  "chunky" "fluffy" "thick" girl,  call it what you will though bottom line is I am fat and regardless of the clothes that I plan to shop for I want to be able to walk across a parking lot without breaking a sweat!! I just started on this last week but it is an awesome tool. It made me realize how carelessly I just shoved food in my mouth without giving thought to how my body would use it and what the result of eating it would be.

wow!  all newcomers so far  :D  that's ok...  just make a plan.  a simple plan.  don't make it a diet though!!!  make some lifelong changes that you can really stick with.  even just a few changes will work wonders!

i've lost 52 pounds since 9/4 due to this site!  i didn't think i could stick with it, but it's really NOT that hard.  i guess it all depends on what new rules you make for yourself.

for me, my main rule is to keep the junk food  LOL  without it, i wouldn't last a day!!!  i only have a little though, and i try to get an "A" on my daily analysis if i can.  :D

exercise!  even if it's just during commercials or something.  anything is better than nothing!!!  and that should get you motivated eventually to do more  :D

Hi Fancesca,

My name is Mary and I am 56 and have been battling weight control now for a number of years.. I know exactly what you mean about shopping in a smaller section.  That is one of my gaols.  I am so tired of wearing fat peoples clothes and be restricted on where i shop.

I think you have made the first step in admitting that you need someone to help you.  Now you have to make good food choices as well as getting some form of exercise.  I know its hard but you can do it.
