Hi there,
You said that you usually eat 1200-1400 cals a day, right? Well if I were you, I'd consider this a "free" day, and start again tomorrow! If you want, you can exercise tonight if that will make you feel better. But, don't freak out! It sounds like your doing great, otherwise! Keep up the good work! :)

i agree with the free day & excerise tonight strategy... just be sure to stay on-track tomorrow. good luck.
Look at the box and get an accurate calorie count - it is probably less than 1500 if it is a mac and cheese type thing.
And it's not worth freaking out over - just get back on track tomorrow, you haven't really done any damage here.

just looked at box, its 210 calories, 8 servings. there is still a little bit left so thats means i must have ate 7 servings!! omg. 210 x 7= 1470.... plus 150(i guess) calories from butter....1, 630.... OMG i went over 2,000 calories!!! :( i will try to force my parents to drive me over to the track but its 20 miles away.... i need to burn that off
um, 2000 calories for a day is really not a big deal and not worth driving 20 miles for. Just get back on track tomorrow. You went over maintenance by how much, a hundred calories? That's what, half an OUNCE of fat you might have gained, MAX? Seriously, chill, sweetie. :)
Sounds like you got really hungry. Maybe your usual calories are too low (you are too young to drive, right? That means you SHOULD be eating 2000-2200 calories a day, which is what teens need, unless you're truly overweight - BMI over 27 - in which case maybe 1500-1700. )

Trustwomen is right. You are completely fine! You don't need to worry about this. Is sounds like you hit maintenance, which is NOT something to be concerned with!
ok ok.... i guess ill calm down... yeah i am 14 1/2 i still cant drive, i have a BMI of either 24.1 (slightly overweight) or 23.4 (average but to close to overweight for my comfort....) because i dont know if i am 5'5 or 5'6... i am gonna go to the track tonight...
my dad keeps making fun of me saying my diet is all over and he said that i may make it on one of those shows where they show those really obese people who cant leave bed and stuff and i will be the heaviest woman ever and i will be nicknamed 'ms. 2000' cause i would have reached 2000lbs (is that possible) and its upsetting me :(

Don't punish yourself, you're only human. This is only one day among many many days in which you've been doing a good job of watching your intake...so consider tomorrow like turning over a new leaf and go back to what you were doing. Don't try to make up for it by working out until you drop. A big part of dieting is accepting your mistakes and limitations...it's okay to forgive yourself!! :) Good luck.
Don't go to sleep right away with a full stomach.
If you feel like cleaning your room or going for a walk do just that, helps the digestion even if it doesn't burn a lot of cals. Tomorrow start with a light breakfast and a hot cup of strong coffee to help you go poo. Hope that helps, that's what I do when I down a big pizza for dinner.

oh dad, what a bad choice of jokes...
he doesn't really think you're fat, sweetie, he's trying to make a joke because you are in fact so very far away from those bedridden people - you'rre definitely NOT going to get that way by eating 2000 calories a day - you won't even gain 10 lbs!
he doesn't realize that we (girls and women in this culture) really do fear these things and we worry that they will happen.
Honestly, I'd say the most important thing for you to do at this point in your life is develop healthy, NON-obsessive eating habits, maintain your current weight, get a healthy relationship with food and a healthy self-esteem, and wait until you are finished growing - like another three years or so - before trying to lose any weight. You don't know yet, whether you will need those extra five pounds for a hot "j.lo" booty or some nice 36Cs... :)
Don't listen to this messed-up culture telling you you're fat. You're NOT fat. Don't listen to people who say bad things about your body, sometimes as jokes, sometimes because they have their own issues and need to tell you something nasty that isn't even true, in order to feel better about themselves.
{{hugs}} I hope that you will take this advice to heart. Don't worry about counting calories or coming to CC - just eat healthy food whenever you're hungry, don't deprive yourself, stay active and energetic and live these years to the fullest without falling into the trap that captures so many young women... i.e. feeling fat and ugly for NO REASON and letting that shape your self-image with disastrous consequences.

And I'd recommend NOT getting into the coffee habit until you really need it - like college, cramming for finals. ;)
Ooops, didn't notice the age there :) , make that a hot cocoa, same effect on the bowel movements - for most ppl.
I totally sympathize...I feel like sometimes I make it most of the day and then I just make a bad decision or I love what I'm eating and don't stop. Just remember, eating salad for one day won't make you lose weight and eating badly for one day won't make you gain it. Just get back on track tomorrow, like everyone is suggesting. Maybe put in a few extra minutes of cardio tomorrow. Good luck! :)
How about a long walk around the block...do some power walking. You'll save yourself and your dad almost an hour in the transportation department which you could use for your walk. I think that 1.5 hours of walking burns more calories than .5 hours of jogging and an hour sitting in a car.
Don't panic. Just get back on track tomorrow! :)
everything is going to be fine... one day wont hurt... just dont let it be a regular type free B on your diet. i ate a double cheeseburger for lunch and a can of chickn noodle soup.. ya that cburger was amazing!!! So i'll pick the pace up over the weekend to make my self feel better... just do something active. or just watch it closely in the future have a nice day DEAR~

Step back for a minute.
You ate a plum for breakfast and 500 calories for lunch. You must've been starving going towards dinner time, so I'm not shocked you ate the entire box of spaghetti. You need to eat more earlier in the day.
