HELP!-Just got back from the gym, blurry vision
I am seeing spots, dizzy, have a headache.
Could this be from the workout? Is it normal?
Will it go away or should I be concerned?

Could be your blood sugar has plummeted. Eat a bit of fruit or drink about 4 oz of orange juice. If it imptoves within 10 - 15 minutes, then that is what it was.
Did you drink plenty of water/fluids? You might be dehydrated.
You might have also pushed yourself too much during your workout. Take it easy for a bit and it should get better soon. :)

Definitely sit down, have some water, and get something to eat if you can.
Was your workout more intense than normal? Have you eaten anything today? How much water have you had so far? When is the last time you worked out? Did you do a cool down at all? If so, what and how long?
It is more than likely related, but if you can answer those questions it will help us know what triggered it and if it's potentially something more serious.
Hope it clears up soon!!

Taking me a really long time to read your replies- so dizzy.
My workout was typical, and I drank 2 and 1/2 water bottles- the 16 oz. kind. About an hour and a half, with a ten minute cool down-stretching on the floor.
Working up the energy to stand up from the computer and go get some juice or s/t like you suggested...just so dizzy....

How long since you last ate? Really try to get some food in you, and some salt. Are you home alone?
Got an apple..chewing hurts my head...
I ate an egg w/ toast at around 8.
Not home alone, the maid is here...somewhere...She doesnt speak any English, I dont speak any Spanish.

It's been a bit now, did the apple help? Did you eat anything else afterwards?
This time of year a lot of gyms get more hot and humid. Between that possibility and just having an egg with toast, I think you probably just didn't eat enough to sustain 90+ minutes of exercise, especially if it was at all intense.
Sounds like you got a good amount of water, which is great! Unless of course you were dehydrated to begin with, in which case it would get worse probably before it got better. The other thing to keep in mind is that you will tend to sweat more in the summer, even inside a gym, and run the risk of your electrolyte balance getting out of whack. Which is why I suggested a small amount of salt, because that can help to restore your balance somewhat.
Next time I'd try to have either a slightly bigger breakfast, or another snack inbetween that and the workout. Like a banana or apple.
Let us know how you are doing, hope it's much better!

not that I have time, but there is no way I am getting behind the wheel in this condition.

How are you doing now? Pandajenn had some good comments. Hope you're feeling better.
sounds exactly like dehydration
This has happened to me recently, also after a tough cardio workout. I get migraines once in a while though, and seeing spots and feeling dizzy or lightheaded are symptoms of a migraine so I chalked it up to that. If your headache is severe, maybe its a migraine.
If your symptoms don't go away after you wake up, though, maybe consider seeing a doctor!

I would think you haven't eaten enough. Your workout and cooldown sound good... it sounds like you had plenty of water... but food? An apple isn't enough.. you should be eating something more than that. And an egg and a piece of toast is under 200 calories right there. That's not enough to eat for breakfast.
I have had the same thing once when I went on a low-carb diet. It's a lack of sugar in your system. Drink a couple of glasses of orange or some other juice (best if diluted i 1:1 with water) and you'll be fine. Consider also to take that mixture with you while you excercise. I usually mix 500ml juice with 500ml water when going to the gym. That definitely keeps you from getting dehydrated and upps your blood sugar level a bit. Or try Gatorade or any sweet sports drink with electrolytes.
Hope this helps.

that kind of thing happens to me if I don't eat enough. I get really sick....its gross cause I will even start dry heaving.....nasty
I ate a whole lot more, drank a whole lot more, was feeling somewhat better, and so left to school.
Got here and had to leave class- went and threw up in the toilet in the womens room. Pounding headache.
But at least I can see now, that was really freaking me out.
Thank you everyone for all your concern.

I think it's more likely that you're hyponatremic...this is basically an electrolyte imbalance cause by TOO MUCH fluid. Athletes and exercisers have been told for decades to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Sometimes we take this too far, dilute our blood, get our salts out of whack, and feel like hell...so what do we do? We think that we must be dehydrated, and we drink more water, making the situation worse.
Hyponatremia can be a really freaking serious condition. Symptoms include headache, visual changes, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle cramping. In severe cases, the brain swelling can cause death. Dr. Lewis G. Maharam, the medical director for the New York City Marathon, suggests drinking no more than 8oz of fluid (including sports drinks) for every 20 minutes of running. He also said in a NY Times article that in the history of modern marathons, there have been no reported deaths from dehydration. However, plenty of marathon runners are hospitalized, and some even die, from over hydrating.
Here's a link to the NY Times article discussing hyponatremia. You might need to subscribe to access it (if you have an email address ending in .edu you can subscribe online for free). In the future, try drinking less water and see if that helps!

sounds to me like you are dehydrated a little or need something to build up your sugar levels - ie fruit or fruit juice
hope you are feeling better soon
