Help! I had a bad binge-day yesterday!
What do I do today? Is there a way to make up for it? To forgive myself and move on?
Dont make up for it... if you deprive yourself ..... you will just do it again.... Consider it a zigzig day and just go back to normal living today!!! If you beat yourself up.. Im telling ya... weight loss is a metal game.. the stress you feel causes more harm than the food itself..... Please read the post I made at thetop of this forum..... its stickied... HArd parts of dieting.. READ IT!! you wont feel so bad!!!
and Good Luck... just start today fresh!!!!
I'm the type of person who would forget about it and move it, I don't binge much, but last night i ate what i would consider to be a binge for myself, anyway, I worried about it a tad before i went to bed, woke up weighed myself, no damage had been done, in fact i'd gone down a bit. So i decided to forget about my binge and carry on my merry way.
But i did remember to tell myself that just cause it didnt cause any damage this time doesn't mean i can let my self get away with it again.
I wouldn't dwell on it. Maybe just watch your intake for the day?

Forgive yourself and move on -- maybe do an extra 15 mins workout if it makes you feel better. Its a day, it happens -- just step back on to your plan.
I suppose it's out of frustration... I haven't lost any weight in months. And now I'm afraid I'm just going to gain from eating like a crazy person...
I would just forget it happened.
I had a binge WEEKEND last week. I felt horrible about it. Then I realized that if I let it bother me too much, I'll lose control and either stop my diet completely or bingle more frequently. I agree with everyone else...admit that you made a mistake, but forgive yourself and go back to your normal routine. Also, make sure you are incorporating your favorite foods -some- of the time in your diet. It will make you less likely to have another binge day. Dieting is REALLY hard...and it can take a while to get your desired results. Maybe you should try a different exercise regime if you haven't lost any pounds in a while but are still dieting. Good luck! And don't beat yourself up!!!
I had a horrible binge day a few days ago - nearly doubled my regular calorie intake. Just drink a TON of water today so the stuff will flow through. In 2 days my scale cleared back up and I've forgiven myself. Just don't do this every day & try not to even do it once a week. Every now and then it almost keeps me sane though. Be nice to yourself and know that we ALL do this now & again. Again, drink water to clear it on through.
It is so amazing to know that other people binge every so often too. I have such a hard time forgiving myself as well. But you've got a good support group just don't give up completely.
I have those days to, where I take in more calories than I'm use to. Last weekend, I was on a long weekend vacation with my family. With my dad around, he makes me feel bad if I don't eat as much as he wants me to, even if it's overkill. Monday we went to a buffet. I was upset to see on the scale that I gained 2kg. Though knowing that once I go to my normal life style, I'll loose the weight I gained pretty fast, so I didn't let it bug me. It's been less than a week and I'm lower than I was before I went on the vacation.
As long as you continue your life style, you will stick to the weight you are. Since you want to loose weight, it means its time to see what changes you want to make to reach your goal in a safe and healthy way. Just don't worry about it. Even if you over ate and didn't exercise for a week, a bit after you get back to your exercising and eating right, your body will readjust back to the weight it was before.
When I do that, I usually drink a lot of water and green tea (decaf) the next day
