Okay so tonight I have to attend a big bash with friends.  We are meeting at a pub for supper and then doing the bar/pub crawl around town.  This will be an all night late night party.

So my questions is I need some advice on what to eat at the pub for supper and keep me full.  Plus any drink idea's with low calories instead of just light beer.  I know there will be lots of shooters anyone know a good one to stick too? 

I want to have drinks and celebrate and eat with my friends but I do want to try to be smart about it.

Oh, yes. I've been there before!  My advice is to order a salad or a sandwich with grilled chicken or fish.  Obviously, you'll want to skip anything fried or with heavy sauces.

General rule of thumb, stay away from sweet drinks and mixers.  Alternate sips of alcoholic beverage (or rounds) with non-alcoholic, ie, water.


Eat before you start drinking if at all possible, and stay away from munchies after you've had alcohol.  You'll be more likely to consume more calories if you've been drinking and make worse food choices.

Get something with a higher alcohol content meaning you won't have to drink as much such as a vodka/soda or a rum/diet coke!

Getting a few shooters of tequila/vodka aren't that bad for you relatively. It is just the high alcohol content you have to worry about.

The biggest problem while drinking is not eating highly caloric food after you are done drinking which tends to be my problem. While sober, I realize that 3 slices of pizza is a bad idea; After a few drinks, I will eat anything.
