I think that since you are down to another weight range you need to change your calorie intake. I started at 170 and am down to 163 in 5 days.

I shoot to intake 1200 calories and NEVER go over 1300, I avereage 1250 a day.

I exercise at LEAST 25 min. a day. On the weekends I get in some sort of physical action for at least 2 hours each day. (Dancing, walking the dog, etc.)

I have turned into a fat burning machine.

I hope that helps you. And by the way, you are doing an AWESOME job - 35lbs is a HUGE amount to lose!!

7lbs in 5 days is great keep up the great work. Can u give me some food suggestions. I eat special k red berries and a banana for breakfast, another ? do u eat breakfast before or after u work out. I also eat a ham and cheese sandwich for lunch but i use the hero bread should i switch to slice bread, sorry for asking so many questions but your weight lost  has inspired me so much.and also what kind of snacks do u eat in between meal. Any help is much appreciated.

                                                                             Thanks

Well, it helps that I am a vegetarian.

Here is a sample of a typical day:

Wake up and drink 1 cup of a shake made with frozen berries, protien powder and soy milk. (I keep a pitcher of this in the fridge, shake and pour)

Workout - 25 min (wake up earlier if you can't find time in your day).  It gets your body up and ready to burn more calories throughout the day.

If I feel too sore to workout, I will at the very least do yoga to stretch my muscles.

At work, I will have 2 cups of coffee w/ non dairy creamer.

Morning snack (10:30): string cheese or celery, carrots & ranch dressing or cottage cheese.

Lunch (12:00): homemade bean burrito: I make my own beans so I know there is no fat in them. I flavor it with taco bell sauce, lettuce, salsa, onion, and carb smart tortilla.

Afternoon snack (2:30): Salad w/ feta cheese and white balsomic (sp?) vinegrette (110 cal/TBL) or light italian (50 cal /TBL) OR an apple (apples will help you feel full)

Dinner: I had homemade mashed potatoes. All I put in was veg. broth, 1 TBL light italian dressing, and a dash of vegetarian bacon bits (the imitation bacon bits).

I am not even up to 1200 calories for the day, I am just not hungry. If I do get hungry, I will go have a Boca Vegan burger w/ provalone cheese, lettuce, and some sort of sauce and no sort of bread.

I really think the trick is to eat small meals every few hours. It is like keeping a small fire going. I never feel hungry. Instead of eating one larege lunch, break it into sections every few hours.

Watch theykind of cheese you are eating, some are more calories han others. I try to use shredded chese sparingly.

If you find yourself getting hungry, eat more protien. I average 50 g of protien, 100g of carbs, and 35g of fiber (add Fibersure if you are not getting enough fiber)

As far as bread goes, be mindfull here too. The low carb options usually have fewer calories. Example: regular tortilla = 180 cal vs. Carb tortilla = 60 cal.

Cut out ALL of the sugar from your diet. Once in a while I will eat 1 and only 1 dark choco hersey kiss as a treat. (The dark choco kind has fewer calories than the others).

The biggest saver to me that helps me maintain my calorie intake is to create my log for the next day at night. This way I am not tempted to eat junk food in desperation for nurishment.

Wow, sorry for the long winded reply!!!! Send me a message anytime if you have more questions or need a nudge of inspiration (it helps me too!)

you sound just like me!!! i started at 210 and now i'm 160, i've been sitting at that, i've been eating 1700/day since i started this program and then sat still, so i redid my counter and it said i needed to eat 1250/day to lose 1 pound per week, so thats where i've been going wrong!! i have to cut out the snacks now and just fight it, its going to be hard, but i'm determined!! i've gotton this far, not going back!!

Thank u guys for the info, if u wouldn't of answered my pleas i probably will of still been eating 1,500 calories a day, u guys r great.

Thanks

well keep us posted and let us know if you are down next week with the new change!

Hi everyone how are you?  I am new here and would like to have some buddies to help me in this weight loss challenge I am 245lb right now and would like to lose pretty much by Aug. I have a son that is in Alaska in the Army and is coming home for a visit in Aug. so I want to be alot thinner by then if possible.  I haven't seen him for almost 1 1/2 years by then.  So that is my goal to do this. I also have a 15 1/2 month grandbaby that I have to be healthy for so I can play with her.  Well good luck all of you and hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks for listening,

Hi, welcome,i will be your buddy we can lose the weight together. I have  been on this program for 2 weeks and only lost 2 pounds so far. The calorie counter said i was to eat 1,500 calories come to find out i am suppose to be eating 1,200 calories no wonder why i haven't lost weight for 2 weeks. Did u check he calorie counter to see how many calories u r suppose to be eating. If u have any questions don't be afraid to ask i will  be right here with u through this journey.Laughing

Hi, quick question i have been trying to stay at 1200 a day but i get confused about how many calories things have. Calorie counts also has different amount. Like cheese on the package it says 70 calories a serving but on calorie count it says 60 is there a website that has an accurate reading.

Thanks
