Help how many calories?
Hi my husband is 6 ft 5 - 470lbs , 45 years old sedentry life style.
He has already lost 41 lbs and is now stuck and has lowered his calories to 2350 !
I think he needs to more , he thinks he should eat less.
I put his height weight and life style into the calorie tool and it said 3011, i'm confused!
I don't want him to give up, help please

Basically, it says to lose about 1.2 lbs a week, he should eat ~3100 cals/day. It says he burns ~3770 cals/day giving him ~670 cal/day deficit.
Due to his large size (at the bottom it explains that at 470 lbs, he's morbidly obese), he could safely increase the deficit (decrease the amount he eats) to ~2300 cals, but I think he'd be ridiculously hungry at that level. I also think (opinion!!!) that if he's already hit a rough patch, this might not be a good idea.
It also explains that you can safely lose ~1% of your weight per week. That means that as your weight decreases so does the amount you can safely lose.
Something it doesn't mention is that everyone is different. Every body is different. All calorie calculators are general guidelines. This is why you might get such different recommendations from various sites and sources.
I'M NOT A DOCTOR, NUTRITIONIST, etc, etc. It would be a good idea to visit a qualified medical doc or nutritionist.
Personally, I think he could stand to eat a little more. If he's having problems now, it won't hurt to try for a month or so and see what happens. If that doesn't work, then he could reduce calories again. But reducing calories by too much can be a dangerous, slippery slope that does more harm than good. Better to try first with more then later with fewer.
Since he's sedentary, it would be a good idea if he started some sort of physical activity. I don't know how mobile he is, but even just walking to the end of the block each day would be good.
