Can anyone help me?

it depends on how much you're working out and how tall you are. you are naturally more aware of what you're eating when you count calories but it can turn into an obsession. just eat the same things that you normally would when you count but just forget about the numbers. have what you like in moderation and remember there are no good or bad foods, everything is okay in moderation. you weren't too detailed as to why this is a problem which is probably why you arne't getting a response. What are your goals? are these behaviors stopping you from reaching them? If not, then allow yourself to eat when you are hungry and enjoy food. you are not overweight that's for sure and you're still growing so don't focus so much on the numbers if there isn't a problem. I hope this helps. =)

Well I am 5'10 but the weird thing is that I count calories on the week and on the weekend especially Saturday I just decide to eat whatever I want and in Sunday I return to this. i want to stop thayt behavior on Saturday. What ia am trying to do is find balance and also i am trying to eat when i am hungry, but i am having trouble finding my signal. My goal is to eat healthy 80 % of the time and 20% in treats. i want to the calorie counting thing.

**stop the calorie counting thing

many people do the same thing that you do. It's like  a break from all of the noise and stress of "dieting" but if you don't want to do it anymore then just incorporate smaller amounts of the things you would normally eat on Saturday into your normal week and then you won't feel the need to have an entire day devoted to eating "bad foods" Does this make sense? You still have them you just stretch it out. If you consume 1-2 small snacks that are a little less healthy than you'd like then you will easily meet your goal of 80% great and 20% a little bit more lax. So, just remember that if you want something you can have it and if you eat a little more than planned just take the opportunity to eat better during the next meal. it's really that simple, a bit scary i admit but it can be done if you just allow yourself to let go a bit!

There's not much use in you telling him this, Chrissy. He has asked the same questions many times before, been told the same things, and not listened, apparently.

It's called willpower.  There is no magic formula, and it's not easy for anyone here.  That said, if you really make an effort to change your weekend lifestyle, you can achieve great results.

If you're very active & 17 years old you're going to have an appetite like a horse.   Most young men do.   You're 140lbs which is fairly light for someone 5'10".  If you were gaining weight, unwell or if you were seriously overweight with your weekend eating patterns you might have cause for concern.  But if your weight isn't going up you're probably eating 'intuitively' by having more at the weekends and keeping things balanced.  You almost certainly don't have an eating disorder... but if you try really hard you might be able to develop one.

Try not counting calories at all for a while, choose good foods and few 'fun' foods and see how it goes.  It's really difficult for you to overeat
