help! went crazy for thanksgiving

Quote  |  Reply
ok so i am trying to maintain my weight but i really went insane this thanksgiving- i had both a family dinner yesterday and a feast today at my friend's house. i am so full right now- i feel like i might vomit. i'm pretty sure i must have eaten a week's worth of calories in the last 48 hours. it got to a point where i just went "oh hell- my diet's screwed anyway" and i gorged on the 5 different pies.
i have another huge dinner on sunday night. what should i eat tomorrow? i'm really tempted to only drink tea all day. would that be so bad? i just want to de-bloat. advice?

Hi Julie

Dont just drink tea all day.....your diet isnt "screwed"......everyone has 'bad' days.  Forget about it and move on :)  Start tomorrow as a new day and keep positive thoughts.  It's all good hun

My thoughts too!  That was yesterday...

A fresh salad and lemon water sounds good after all that.  : )

I did the same but 3X! (Thanksgiving and then a birthday dinner and then out to a steakhouse). Yummm pumpkin pie, apple pie, red velvet cake YUM, bread pudding!

So after 3 nights of huge dinners my stomach is popping out!

Today I've recovered, eating a pear, tomatoes, a plum, and then a small slice of pumpkin pie (leftovers= love them and hate them). I'll eat a regular dinner... most likely a tamale and salad.

We'll be fine don't worry!

I did the same thing, I am so mad at myself. I look so huge right now. I ate whatever I wanted like 4 days in a row. I was supposed to get back on track today, but that didn't happen.

Ughh, I hate myself at times like these. I feel so fat.
its alright to actually enjoy yourself once in a while. especially on thanksgiving. :)

half the people on CC probably overate. including me. so dont be too hard on yourself, cause i probably ate half a pot of mashed potatoes by myself. haaa.

treadmill, here i come.

You're doing fine.  It's actually good to every now and then loosen up and forget about your diet.  After being so good for so long, I would bet that your insanity wasn't nearly as bad as years past.

Eat normally, your maintenance calories or a bit under, get a bit of exercise and eat a light snack before you go to your dinner so that you're not starving.
