Help what to do I am a depressed skinny fat
Hi I just ordered and got my bikini oh man!! I am 5 10 about 130 and it was just depressing thighs huge need to tone and the belly and suggestions of best excercises?
I have ms and I know years of prednisone weight gain loss and having a child has done havoc and I am not wanting a miracle just to be toned!!
At 5'10" and 130, your BMI is 18.7, which on CC is considered underweight.
If you want to help change the shape of your body, I recommend a weight training program like New Rules of Lifting For Women.
edit: I'm sorry - I see looking at your past posts that you are clearly aware of your BMI etc.
I do still recommend weights, and as pg says below, maybe the MS is the source of the depression?
do you think it's possible that your depression is more about having ms and less about a soft belly?
do you have a good support system and a counsellor or therapist?
As many people have said, you can't spot train. Your body just wants to put fat there. One of the best things you can do is to accept it.
But girl, I'm sure at 130 you're absolutely gorgeous. I'm 5'10" as well, and weigh a good 70 pounds more than you. If I could make muffins with my muffin top...I would probably have at least a dozen muffins. LOL.
Cheer up. =D I'm shooting for 153 and any extra jiggle I've got then I'll be happy with. Heck, I'm happy with losing like a pound.
Well Jenny I agree with the others that at your height and weight alot of girls would trade places with you. Also be aware that trying to lose body fat from you're thighs at your weight will probly affect your chest size alot as well, so be prepared for that.
I actually just posted about this very subject, now the exercise program I suggest in the post is for someone who needs a bit more work than you, but there are some pointers you cuold probly use. LINK
Thanks guys I went from 180 to 130 in about 13 months. This may have been to fast and the loose skin, celulite in weird places from meds may have alot to do with this!! Also again at 36 I can't expect my 17 year old body back. I have decided to try to do weights, which I haven't been doing and increasing protein. I have a great family friends and church group for support so I don't think it's lack of support but just me being a perfectionist!! thanks for the wake up call and calling me to task. My 14 year old probably doesn't want me in a VS bikini away- boys are weird like that;.
