after my forth child, now 6 months old i cant cut the weight. 17 kg of it.

i am told that i have pelvic symphasis and that it wont go away so excersize is very painful.

i also have high uric acid in the blood which causes geat pain in the joints..

i know i am supposed to eat lots pof protien but that increaces the uric acid and i am not eating any carbs or fat, well as much as i can avoid.

this leaves me with wery little coice of foods. what can i eat besides grean leafy veg and cucumbers some tuna and turky and lettuve and fresh mushrooms im probably under 500 cals a day and am getting so bored with my limited range of foods. in 19 days i have lost 6 kg but i know thats mostly water.

any advice??? please.

by carbs do you mean processed foods?

Carbs include a huge variety of foods -- all very good for you.  Go to whfoods.org and look at their world's healthiest foods list, and I think you will see that your choices are numerous.
don't be obsessive about avoiding fat.  it lubricates the joints, so if you've cut back too far, that could be adding to your pain.

have you tried soy as a source of protein?  i don't recommend dumping a block of tofu on your plates, but it absorbs flavour very well, so cutting it up into almost anything saucy works great.
You have some real physical challenges.  So do I.  Here's something that helped me

The World's Healthiest Foods

Print out the list then cross off all the things you can't have or don't like.  There will be a lot of things left.  That's what you eat!

Good Luck.  Hope to hear from you often.
thanks that is really helpful.

you can tell im new at this and i found whfoods very helpful.

it turns out that too strict diet and too few cals actually increaces the problem and the breakdown of muscle actually creats uric acid. i really appreciate the help.
Yep
Does drinking milk help?
Other thing is LOTS of liquids so if you do have acid, its not as bad. This will help with the dieting too.

Yes, dont be too strict. Eat healthy fats. And keep your cal intake up!!

Try new types of things you can eat. Have you tried chinese leafy vegtables. THey taste soo nice. Maybe a nice stir-fry with tofu, water cheasnuts, bamboo shoots, bok-choi, brocolli, onions, mushrooms, capsicum/peppers (minusing the things ou cant have)?

How are bananas?
thanks too all of you.

i was getting realy confused an was about to go to a dietition, but with this sight and people to ask, im getting that hang of it.

wh foods was great. i just started to eat with stuff i got from a health food store. i got soy cheese and meat and something that is meat but made of wheat, ("a whole new world) and bread that is made from oats and wheat germ and also soy husk bread with seaweed and after 20 odd days on pure salads  only (no dressing) it tastes amazing. evoo as a base garlic and onions fried in and the wheat meat plus grated fresh ginger and ground dried hot pepers and i have my first hot meal and no purines, (well as few as i can get away with)

any more suggestion like the leafy chinese that sounds great too.

after a lifetime of starvation diets i am finally eating well and not hating myself for it. go soy!!!!

:) thanks guys you are all so great for helping me out!
