help, i feel like binging :(
ugh.. watching the kids so i'm basically home alone.. which is the killer for me. i already started and i'm at about1900 calories for the day, which is WAY over my limit but its not out of control yet.. not like usual atleast. but it's only 5 and we have so much junk in the house. i stopped myself to post this and afterwards i plan on writing in my journal. someone help! i'm trying sooo hard.
I was struggling with this the other night too. Please be nice to yourself and if your going to binge binge on healthy foods. If you had a best friend and she came to you and said the same thing what would you tell her? You would probably tell her it's not worth it right? Or something to that effect.
I know for me (don't know if it applies to you) but when I feel that need to binge sometimes it's emotional. Maybe in your journal write down anything you think may be bothering you and possible solutions to the problem. It helps to journal definately so good for you for thinking of that.
The other thing is nothing you eat right now will make you feel better but make you feel worse if you go binge. Do you really want to feel worse later? I think not. Something that helps for me is hot tea and a piece of fruit such as an apple. Try it see if it works.

Please define a binge. 500-1000 cals or 5000-7000cals

Try to ignore the junk and have a stalk of celery or a carrot, instead... Or if you must have SOME junk, just keep a handle on it. Grab one of your saucers and put ONE piece of chocolate, ONE chip/cracker, whatever.... And once you've enjoyed your "mini" binge, you're done. :) It can help with your cravings and you won't feel like beating yourself up too much. And remember, hon... Even if worse comes to worse, tomorrow is a NEW DAY. If things don't go exactly like you'd like today, forget it and move on. I promise you, you haven't "blown" your diet if it's only one day. Step up the excercise tomorrow and get right back up on that wagon.

try a BIG GLASS OF WARM TEA!!!! It tends to do the trick for me.
Another thing I would reccomend, when I am feeling really ravenous, I get those 100 calorie popcorn bags, and literally STUFF IT into my face. Feels like im bingeing, but only 100 calories.
Just hang in there, think of tomorrow! Go for a walk, keep yourself occupied!

I binged yesterday and felt blah all day today. It also made me extremely grumpy and moody. If setting your diet back a few days or so doesn't help to stop you, think of the unpleasant physical effects it will have.
