Help!!!!
I have gained weight since I have started. I have been exercising more but still my eating habits aren't too bad! I am recovering from a previous eating disorder(BED/MIA) but I don't think that is affecting it too much...
Helpppppp! What is wrong with me?
I need more details. What is your height, male or female? How much activity are you doing everyday? Are you counting the calories and are you eating enough calories? If you are sick or menstrating it can cause your weight to fluctuate. Also are you weighing yourself at the same time of the day, preferably moring after you pee before you eat. When you say your eating habits are not too bad, define. A lot of people thinking eating a nice salad is a good choice, but if you count the dressing, cheese, and bread that accompanies it, you can easily have 800-900 calories in one nice salad. I thought I was eating good too before I started counting everything. I was so suprised by the amount of calories I was consuming without even realizing it. Soda is a good example, lots of calories in a regular soda.

Don't get to flustered about this, it's all part of the Journey that you are on. I know this is hard to hear and hard to understand sometimes but gaining weight is not a bad thing. It really depends on what kind of weight you are gaining. If you are gaining FAT then that is bad, but in your case you are not. You are prob-gaining muscle and we all know that muscle weights more than fat.
get yourself a set of body fat calipers and monitor your body fat and now what you weight. We are all programmed that you have to weight a certain amount, but this does not really mean anything!

Okay I am 5'5" and 130 pounds. I have a very small frame and carry most of my weight in my stomach and boobs. I do count calories, I aim to eat around 1500 a day...anymore and I feel completely stuffed!
I weigh myself daily in the morning after I get up.. I don't drink soda or eat anything outrageously i.e. no salad dressins, croutons(because i hate them)
I try to eat about three medium sized meals with 2 snacks. I tend to be doing fine until around 530 when I get home from work and all hell breaks loose! Either I am good and I work out or I eat a jar of peanut butter! Issues!
I just feel as if my weight should be going down... :S
Thanks for replying!
Remember it takes a reduction of 3,000 calories to equate to one pound loss. So the more calories you burn the faster you loose weight. I am 5 '0 and 166 pounds. I started at 180. I am down 14 pounds and 3 inches since the start on 9/30/08. I eat 1300-1350 calories per day and usually loose about a pound per week now. My body burns about 1800 calories on a normal day for a net of 500 calories per day. So every 4-5 days I have been loosing a pound, and that is because I only exercise about one sometimes two days a week. I know i need to step up my game to loose faster but a nice weight dropage is about 1-1.5 pounds per week, anything faster than that is typically not good and makes it harder to maintain and/or keep it off when you are done dieting. When I reach my goal weight, expected Nov 2009 I will then eat about 1600-1800 calories per day to maintain. Don't get discouraged, you can do it. Try hard to refrain at night, remember anything you eat before bed turns right to fat, no matter what. Try eating a high protein dinner, that may help hold you off.
What type of food should not be eaten?
Calorie Count does not prescribe a particular diet or tell people to avoid particular foods. We only ask that you eat a balanced diet... Read more
