So yesterday I ate about 2500 calories and have gained two pounds because I have been overeating. I'm wondering if I should just go back to my normal calorie range or if I should just eat 1270 calories? My ususal is between 14-1550 calories but I have plans this weekend going out etc....what would anyone suggest? I've already ate like 1380 calories but would anyone else have restricted? The worst part is I just keep eating nuts. I think it's out of nervousness to be honest. gah...
So the big question is what would you do?
Eat as normal - you didn't gain 2 lbs of fat from eating 2500 calories yesterday - it's just water weight, esp if the nuts were salty. Even if you ate 2500 calories MORE than you burn, that still wouldn't be a pound of fat.
Eat normally, drink water, and the weight will return to normal in a day or so.

the only way you would gain a pound is if you ate 3500 calories MORE than your basal metabolic rate...which would be something like 5500 calories in one day. i would stay stick to 1500 range - when you restrict too much i think that's when the binge eating occurs b/c you are always hungry.
and i totally agree drink a lot of water to get rid of your water weight and try incorporating some high potassium foods or high intensity cardio.
yeah...I totally went up another 2 lbs this morning...because I ended up stuffing my face and the funny thing is I don't think I went over 1700 calories. :/ I really don't feel to happy today that's for sure.
