i have a question.... lastnight i went a bit over board and drank ALOT!!!!! and also pigged out ALOT!!!!!! more then usual.... before going to bed i drank at least 4 glasses of water... when i went on the scale this morning i was 5 lbs heavier... i feel so unmotivated..... HELP! is this normal? did my weight realy go up that much???? i feel disgusting
Your body is holding onto water. I hear and understand your fear but when you have a night or a day before where you may over consume it is best to stay off the scale. This is not true weight. Remind yourself of the facts that 3500 on top of your normal would be a pound and that is in a person who is healthy and not in recovery where the needs are higher. The key now is to get right back on your meal plan or the cycle will not stop. Fluids also count for a lot. A first thing in the morning vs night could be 5 plus pounds difference
Are you trying to gain weight? If so, than you need to get used to seeing the scale go up.
If you are not trying to gain weight, this post does not belong here. The Weight Gain forum is for people who are purposefully trying to gain. Contact a mod and have it moved.
my guess is it was water weight everybodies weight fluctulates and its like when people weigh themselves shortly after large meal they will weigh heavier. try not to worry its ok to eat more sometimes and you shouldnt feel bad. i mean was the reason you got on the scales because you felt bad and worried about what you ate ? if so i dont think this is a healthy habit to get into . if you are trying to gain weight , weigh yourself weekly dont let the scales become your obsession h x
did you drink mixed drinks?? any soda involved with the alcohol?
weigh yourself on friday morn and see if it has gone down some. count your cals and watch the mix drinks and soda w/ alcohol.
food weighs poundage, too. you have to digest!
also, I hold about 3-5 pounds of water weight for 1-2 days after drinking alcohol. still love those red wine nights, though;-)
