uck.. no takers..  I guess I am going to load a bowl up with peanut butter and icecream (yum) and try to do a hurting on it and go to bed...  I would like to just go to bed, but I feel guilty not eating enough...  Got to try to hit at least 1200....  I can eat 600 cals of icecream and peanutbutter......  Thanks!!  :)  have a goodnight!
I didn't answer because there are a lot more people here qualified to answer your question.

BUT. Don't you dare touch that bowl of peanut butter and ice cream.

What else is in the house.  Protein.  Meat.
what are you eating?
I had the same trouble. I just downed a protein drink. Now I'm thinking of having a bowl of oatmeal with some fruit in it.  I think maybe look for things that are digested slowly and arent' high in sugar... that's what I'm going to do.. Oh well tomorrow is another day.
Dove, sorry I was not around when you needed some help.  I am not feeling to well today and have been on long enough to log what I am eating and chat a few minutes here and there.

I hope you skipped the ice cream.  The sugar rush would wreck havic on your sleep.  The peanut butter is a good idea.  Its really good on an apple (I know we should eat our fruit on an empty stomach but this is one thing I can not give up).  Do you have whole wheat bread for your peanut butter?

I like Ninav idea of oatmeal with some fruit on it too.

I am very under today but I am not stressing it.  I can not stomach anything today and I figure my body knows best right now.

Have a good night.  Sleep well.  Tammy :)
fruit juice! smoothies!

but that peanut butter and ice cream sounds awesome, I'd have a little, since I was gonna suggest PB anyway.
just curious...but when you do have a busy day and skip out of the normal amount of calories you consume, is it really that detrimental just to go to sleep without eating (not out of hunger but just to meet a caloric goal)?? i mean, doesn't it all even itself out at the end or is it really important to keep the same minimum of calories per day?

just curious. i always see people freaking out about what to eat to get in an extra 100-500 calories when they aren't hungry. i would just skip. is this wrong?
Honestly going for 1700 calories a day is great, but if you go under your not going to immediately go into starvation mode.. really relax. Just eat normal for the rest of the day. You'll be fine, noone's perfect.
less than 700 is pretty low, so you're right to be concerned

But I wouldn't stress about getting to 1700.  Coachdee's post about a cheat day - probably applies to a low day too - keep your body on its toes - eat 1700 the next day and all should be back to normal.  If you even got to 1000 that'd be close enough as long as you don't let this happen on a regular basis.  One day won't be a factor in the big picture.
That is what I figure..  I am just going to eat like normal today and hope for the best.. what is done is done..!  :)
Yeah, just chalk it up to a bad day and move on.  :)  Sorry I didn't respond sooner.  I must have missed this post somehow.  Doh!
Thanks Coach Dee!!  I am better today.. (grumpy though..hmmm)  But I have just finished lunch and have cherries for a snack.. I am tired and for some reason I don't feel like going to the gym... But I am gonna!
Here's a tip, when I feel like this, and trust me I do to you know, I will simply say to myself, "You must, because you must be healthy, and in order to be healthy you must be strong, and to be strong means you must be disciplined, because you are worth it."

Cheesy? Yes.

Works? yes.

It never fails that I feel so much better after going to the gym. I often see it on the face of many-a-client. And I tell them immediately, "you're tired right?" they often sheepishly agree. The I smile back at them, and I tell them, "is it because you're tired of working out or tired of being out of shape?"

You'd be surprized of the number of goofy grins I get and then these people often fire it up for the session.

No one said it was easy. If it were, we would not even be having this conversation.
