HELP ME!! why I am gaining weight on a 1300 calories per day
it got me pretty much frustrated!!! I even can't figure out how fat would I get if I would eat the normal supposed 2000 calories per day for someone like me if I am gaining between half and 1 pound per week with this diet EVEN IF I AM GOING TO THE GYM 3 DAYS A WEEK and doing about an hour of cardio!!
I swear I eat pretty healthy, no fats, no frying, no red meats, no candies, just whole weat, tons of fruit and vegetables, poultry and lean meat.... but I still keep gaining, I am starting getting horrified about feeding me and thas not a good sing but since I cannot mantaing my weight and keep trapped into a yo-yo diet even if I am eating healthy I dunno what to do,
this is pretty much driving me crazy... I DON NOT WANT TO GET ANY EATING DISORDER BECAUSE OF THIS... pliz help me. :(
Well done Dana! You have inspired me to eat more, healthily, in the knowledge that I can still maintain. Thanks.
well not trying to spoil your happines, but after 2 weeks of reaching the 1700 cals per day (my las goal) all of a sudden I added 4 pounds, and keep gaining like 1 per week, I am about to give up and start dieting again, I hate the fat which I am storing, I liked when I was 98 pounds, now I am 105 and keep getting heavier, I rather stop befor gaining a ton...
Hello Dana,
I'm having the same problem. You look pretty good in your picture, and young too. I'm 49 years old, and I sit at a desk all day. To maintain a weight of 120 pounds (I'm 5' 4'), I can't go over 1200 calories a day. Let's talk about hungry?
What is your age, height and weight?
Your friend in weight loss,
Amy
Hi atrimue, actually we are the same height, and in days when I don't go to the gym I am aslo sit on my desk the whole day, according to CC I spend 1400 to 1480 cals per day on those sedentary days, but at the other hand and if its accurate when I go to the gym I am spending like 300 to 400 extra calories, it means that I should be mantaining my weight by eating 1700 cals a day in average, but hell no! I thought I was free and I could have a normal diet but I am realizing I am not, right now I am not hungry and I feel pretty comftable by eating that amount of calories, but if I reach the 110 pounds I am going to stop this... its so frustrating to see how I work this body everyday and not to see the results I want...
I bet you are same than me, you are trapped on the stravation mode, but you should try at least to reach the adiviced cals accordng with your age, height, weight, and activity level to maintenance, I guess it must be like 1600 cals or sumthing around it, try to increase little by little and then add some activity to make your body faster, watch your progress and DO NOT WEIGHT URSELF, if you see you start gaining a lot of fat add more activity, I know its hard, but that is the price we must pay to damage our body, when we recover our metabolism, we can flush the fat rightly, I cant diet yet, I have to keep eating that amount as long as I can... you need to increase or there will come the day when you will GAIN weight by eating that amount of calories....and we want to avoid that at all cost....
What type of food should not be eaten?
Calorie Count does not prescribe a particular diet or tell people to avoid particular foods. We only ask that you eat a balanced diet... Read more
