Hey everyone,

I need some major motivation here.  When I first started this I was going super strong, watching what I eat, going to the gym every day and now I haven't gone to the gym for an entire week!  I absolutely love the way I feel when I am at the gym yet every day I have been "too tired" to go work out.  Also, I haven't been watching what I eat as much and going over my 1200 calories.  Not by a ton, but still over none the less.  Please help!

I am super stressed at the moment as we are in the middle of escrow and our actual close date has been pushed back 3 times now.  Then I was bummed out because I don't really like the direction I am taking with school and work and such because I was literally choosing the business field simply because it's the one degree that can pretty much put you into any line or work.  Until 2 days ago, I was going to school for business knowing I didn't want to do this.  I finally changed my direction and am going towards the journalism field that I have wanted for years.  So I was happy for a day, and then I hear today that we are yet again having our close date pushed back (it was supposed to be tomorrow).  Please help.  I am in a major slimp =(

Cut yourself a little slack :) You're aware of where you're at, just slowly get back into your routine and eating well (maybe you need to eat a bit more than 1200 - that's really low, especially since you're also working out - maybe that's why you ended up being too tired to keep going?).

I'm learning that a bit of a break / divergence from the plan isn't the end of the world, and instead of beating myself up about it, I try to stay calm, and slowly resume my plan and try to forget about the few days my schedule was off. i.e. learning not to panic if I get off track temporarily.

Hope some of that helps a little bit!

Thanks for that Marie!  I do usually cut myself some slack when I kinda get off track for a day or two but it's been over a week.  Eugh.  It's alright though.  I am still watching my calories and have not gained the 3lbs that I have lost thus far so I just need to get back on the wagon and keep chuggin away.

Thank you =)

Yup, keep chugging! :)

I have been where you currently sit.  I too chose business because it could get you "any job in any field."  Only problem with that is that once you graduate, the only places you can actually work are as a manager in Pizza Hut.  So good job in switching!  The sooner you look inside yourself and see what you truly want to do, the happier you will be in the present and the future.  :)

With the working out, I would say just try to squeeze in 30 minutes a day.  It's not too much time.  Just go for a run.  It will let you breath, clear your head, and you'll be getting in your exercise.  As for counting calories, take it easy.  Sometimes, things are stressful.  If you want to eat something, do it but eat only a little.  Don't over do it.  That way, you'll get the satisfaction you're looking for and you'll stay within your range.

Keep going!!  Don't quit after a few weeks, that's when you'll finally start seeing really fantastic results!!  You just gotta push through!
