help!!!! i have hit a wall!!
ive hit that brick wall....... stuck at the same weight for almost 3 weeks..... i have been counting calories since oct... joined here in late march....that is when i hit a wall..... started walking more.... and started loosing again. now i have hit it again.... what do i do?? i am 45 female.... i walk 30 mins. and day 7 days a week.... in that 30 mins.... i now walk 1 mile..... thats good concidering my feet problems!! i do 10 - 20 situps, squats, and and few others at least 3 times a week.... but i was told not to count those cause they are counted in the lite actitivy section.... my burn meter says 2160 after i had my walk. and i am suspose to eat 1350..... which i do eat 1250 - 1300.... that is 810 def. so i should be loosing rite?? so whats up??? what am i doing wrong?? what do i need to do to start loosing again???

You might want to provide your height and weight. Then people will be able to analyse you a bit more closely!
There are lots of theories on why weight loss stops though. Your body could just be having a natural plateau (readjusting itself).
You might need to have a high calorie day to shock your body and kick start your loss again. Try eating 2300-2500 calories for a day, then going back to your usual deficit.
Try zig zagging. (goggle zig zag diet)
Try increasing or decreasing your deficit. Find what works for you!
Try changing up your exercise routine.

my height is 5 foot even and weight 190 -192 today....
Having a day to shake up you metabolism is a good idea. Your body gets in a groove and starts to maintain. I would be careful reducing your calorie intake any further since you are already approaching the daily minimum for women. (I found that I need 1400-1500 to loose and if I go under that I go no where!) Everyone hits plateaus and as you loose you will hit more and more of them AND (this is the kicker) they will start to get closer together. I hit my first plateau after loosing about 10 pounds and got through it relatively well... but then the second one came 5 pounds later and the next one 3 pounds after that...The trick is to stay focused on the progress you've made. I like to watch the plot on the weight tracker on this site because it has that nifty trend line :) I only get upset when I go above it and it shows the other plateaus that I have successfully gotten past!
I can really identify with this. I got stuck for several weeks and decided to have some extra calories and up the exercise. I only weigh myself once a week so don't know yet what the result is going to be but by clothes feel better and I'm getting a lot of compliments about looking more toned.
Have you checked your measurements?

well i started zig zagging my calories on monday, low end of cals. and yesterday high end of cals. today i lost 1 pound!!!! plus the 2 i gained back!!! yeah i think this is going to work!!
jpm_jess this is the 2nd one i have hit, the first came rite after christmas and lasted till march when i found this site.... then i starting gaining again.... then i dropped another 10 pounds and hit the wall again.... so maybe confusing my body is what it needs..... thanks!!
antonio12 i got to slowly up my walking, as i have really bad ankles.... i started out with 10 mins.... then 15 and only beening able to walk 1/2 miles. now i am up to 30 mins and can walk a little over a mile.... it is going slowly but i am building up to going more.... carbs?? my carb intake is about 40% of my diet.... but most comes from fruit and veggies, not sweet stuff....thanks!!
veganmamma my clothes are getting looser! and yes i take my measurements every 3 - 5 days..... and logged those. i have losted inches....here and there... i am a pretty patient person, but get aggervated when i do all this work and no change!! but like i said earlier, i think i have busted the wall!! well see how long this works!! thanks!!
