...count calories!!

OK, I'm reminded why I don't like sites like this, but since I'm here, I thought I would try to be consistent and committed.  But, I'm quite frustrated with the calorie counts.  It's very ****.  If an item exists in the system, I should be able to cut the portions as needed.  Do I honestly have to find an equivalent food that provides the nutritional value, then change the serving size EVERY TIME I eat that food??  If they want me to count calories, then for sure I am not eating the same amount every time, but can't easily change the serving size????

Frustration 2: the whole point of this thing is to eat healthy, right?  Well, the things I eat are quite hard to figure out calorie wise because it doesn't come out of some processed box with neat little numbers.  I eat organic foods that I cook myself.  And when I cook, I cook a big batch and eat it a little at a time.  How do I account for those calories?  Unless I start wearing a lab coat and invest a HUGE amount of time (taking up work-out time!) figuring out every gram of quince, quinoa, kohlrabi, etc., I don't see how anyone is supposed to do the calorie count in any consistent way.

Anyone else having a hard time with this?   It really makes me want to axe the whole online diet thing.  At the same time, I've read over and over that calorie counting is the way to do it.

Help!  Healthy, yet frustrated!

Well first of all there is a recipe analizer.. http://www.calorie-count.com/calories/recipe_ analysis.php

You add the mount of servings, all the ingredients, ect and it calculates it for you... you can add 1 serving..

Most of the foods you can find in your unit/measure.. If not then you will have to just improvise..

JUST EAT WHATS ON THE LIST !!!!!!

Butterfly,

Thanks, I hadn't looked at that yet.  I suppose it will serve in the exact way I need; hope it works as well as it looks like it will.

And Attila, I hope you were just kidding!!!  Never mind this site or weight loss, I eat very healthy, mainly organic, practically nothing processed.  I can't imagine people who really need to lose weight for health reasons "sticking to the list" for convenience's sake.  I think the goal should be for everyone to eat OFF the list!

Eat well,

Just kidding  !!
