Help? 25lb gain in 2 months

Quote  |  Reply
In mid-July my weight was in the low 120's..  I got sick at the beginning of August, very bad sore throat, couldn't even sleep.  After I recovered i was very very hungry.  I started binge eating, eating till I felt sick.  I put a stop to that, but I'm STILL eating like crazy, I'm not even trying to calorie count, its like my self-will is completely gone.  I just eat until I'm not hungry anymore, stupid genes.

I went from 122lbs to now, 147 lbs in 2 months..  over 20lbs..  Will my body adjust to the increased calories or will I soon way 300lb?
That is by my estimations I'm now eating between 2500-3000 calories (or more) per day.  I walk to work so most days I have between 4-8 miles of walking, but this doesn't seem to balance out. I'm sort of scared, I don't know where my self-will has gone.

ANY help/advice is MUCH appreciated.
Thank you!

Until you make up your mind to take control of your eating habits, yes you will have 300 lbs to "look forward" to.  Don't go there!!  I would check with your calorie goals, because unless you are training for the Olympics, 2500-3000 cals is WAY to many!  It makes a difference for your mileage the pace you are walking at.  Did you like your weight before you got sick?  You probably have clothes that you can get back into comfortablly.  Set that goal-to get back into those clothes.  You only have 20-25 lbs to loose.  That's all I have left to loose.  But I started  4 months ago having a spare 50+ lbs that I have packed around most of my life.  Those 20 lbs came on quickly.  I think you will be amazed how quickly they can leave too.  The longer it stays there, the harder it is to take off.  Christmas is coming.  It is possible for you and I to loose those 20+ lbs.  I'll be there for you; all you need to do is ask.  ~Tonnie

Wow I did the EXACT same thing! Only, it took me since April 1st till mid-Ag to weigh 145. I am now finally on my way down.

What worked for  me was deciding it was time, and worth it! Mind yo, I'm still on week 2 of fixing eating patterns - i lacked motivation for so long. I had to eliminate all foods I was allergic to, like cashews, wheat, eggs, etc so i'd stop craving them (allergy addiction) If yo want a partner - PM me! I'd lovE some accontability!

Well first of all how tall are you? From your pictures it doesnt look like 20 lbs would hurt you all that much. 120 is probably underweight anyway. Your body might just be balancing out since I am assuming your 20 years old now based on your username.

Do you notice yourself gaining fat or just weighing more? There is a difference.
