Help me (and you) make it through the night, Club
I've found that I'm strong during the day but as soon and the sun goes down I get the itch for yummy, non-healthy, crunchy, mouth watering, stuffed in the mouth food. Anyone want to ?Help me (and you) make it through the night??

that happens to me to. what I do is have most of my caloires at night.
That way I can pick and nubble on healthy stuff - skinny cow ice-cream, yogurt, nuts, etc.

I plan all my meals in the morning, and I save enough calories for a treat at 7:00p.m. That helps - I usually have low fat chocolate pudding :)

I usually crave something sweet around 8 p.m., so I have a mug of hot chocolate and that does the trick (only 45 cals.) :)
I get these cravings sometimes too. I will eat an Orville Redenbacher lite mini bag of popcorn (100 cals each) or some fruit. Drink some water too. :)
I have serious problems when I'm doing the insomnia thing. It's not so bad if I'm not, though. I'll probably see you guys tonight, as I haven't been sleeping until later and have been snacking like mad (triscuts and lowfat cheese make great nachos!). Stupid stress eating.
What helped me with the crunch attacks was cereal. Instead of chips or crackers I would pour out a cup of cereal and munch on that. It really helps me with my 'crunch' craving. Popcorn does too, but cereal has less salt!
If I get hungry at night, I take a peek at my motivation pants. Then I remind myself that every time that I screw the day up by eating junk at night, is one more day that I won't be able to fit into those pants. If that doesn't work, I do a 20-minute excersize video (usually pooped by the end of that and don't even have enough energy to bother making anything). As a last resort, if I am absolutely starving, I have a 100 calorie pack, ususally the ritz mix, that takes care of the hunger and keeps me from grabbing "one more handful" from a normal box of trail mix. By the end of my workout, I've burned off that many calories anyway.
I usually eat some Popcorn or fruit. Occasionally some celery, apples, or other fruit, if I'm craving something sweet. Drink lots of water, possibly find a candy to suck on, or the tiniest chocolate piece you've ever seen.
Haven't heard of that low calorie hot-chocolate, though! Where do you get and what's it called? :D

Thanks everyone for all the great tips. I?m checking in later too, tiamat the red. I find if I check in to report any successes or failures, I tend to have more successes.
Ginger candy helped me last night, too. My eyes were watering for half an hour after eating one piece, it was so hot! I LOVE that stuff.
I need to stock up on fruits and veggies. Pity I go through the white nectarines so darn fast. They're just soooo good!

So far so good. Sun goes down here every night every time of year at 6:00. I did a second round of exercises in the evening and saved some calories for later on only problem is it?s 8:30 and I could go to bed now.
Hey songchild, i struggle with this issue myself (see my first post "intro & stuff"). Would you like to support each other with this? Anyone else want to hop on board?
