Help! It's National Doughnut Day! Free Doughnuts Everywhere!
So here I am minding my own business thinking today is a new day, that pretzel I ate yesturday just a treat I had my fruit and veggies plus plain chicken at dinner I deserved it. Right i didnt over do it. That pretzel was my free carb craving. (carbs are my #1 love next to ice cream :) )
Now everywhere I look there are doughnuts. Ah krispy kreme the worst so perfectly melts in your mouth so full of fat. I work in an office and yep admin has brought doughnuts to every department. I can't run from them, it's like a scene from the twilight zone, stuck in doughnut land, my own little horror show. There are even memo's and posters everywhere reminding me to grab a doughnut.
Just a friendly reminder from your admin: Your butt might not fit into your jeans tomorrow, but we won't have to look at you, it's the weekend. So Grab a doughnut everyones doing it.
Any thought on how to escape? Anyone else having the same tempting day?
I'd love to tell you to have just one but know from personal experience that it won't work....I could eat them ALL DAY LONG and only stop when they're gone. It's my worst temptation above any other "food"...if you can call it that. My suggestion....go home sick! It's the only way to avoid them. If, by now, you HAVEN'T eaten one.....congratulations. IF you get thru the day without eating one, it'll be the biggest self-confidence boost you could give yourself. Good luck to you....you're in my thoughts (at least until 5 o'clock) :)

Take a personal day...that's torture..especially Krispy Kreme's. I only eat them hot off the press.
If you eat a donut (or two... or more...) you'll only feel guilty about it!
If you avoid them for the whole day - you will officially be a CHAMPION!

Drink lots of water. Have healthy snacks and don't look the donuts in the eye... they'll try to jump out and get you!
I could not diet if I tried to deny myself food I love. I would have the donut and go for an extra long walk!
One glazed original donut only has 200 calories. It is a treat. Not a way of life.
Why don't you eat one, and then adjust your calories for the rest of the day to compensate? Mind you, this only works if you know you can stick to just eating one, otherwise it might end in disaster. ![]()
There is NO WAY i am having a donut today. I am rebelling against it.
Plus I plan on a few drinks and a burger tonight so I have to save up. :)

So there is now one original glazed doughnut sitting on my desk and I have already adjusted my calories for today. I'm now in the I can eat this if i skip lunch mode. However it is friday and I'm kid free, (thanks to Grandpa) so I might have to skip dinner to make up for adult night. Drinks and late night Jack n' Box.
Or I could just sit here and stare at it, bad doughnut bad. Recite poetry, pass love notes. Feed me Seymore!

by doing such things as eating a munchkin whenever the hell i wanted....
i've resisted eating donuts for about 2 months, lost 10 pounds :)
BWHAHAHAHAHAHA! yeeeehaaaa! The NBC (National Broccoli Counsel) has been lobbying hard and finally they will have their day... February 30 of every year will be...
And you know what I hate? Those God****** flat screens you see everywhere now advertising donuts, hamburgers, chocolate and creme, every tart of your choice... food porn... fresh fruit and veggies are relegated to the back of magazines and newspapers and the CBC.

I ate a honey glazed.....that led me to eat the maple glaze.... which then led me to half an apple fritter..... crap...
So I'm sitting at my desk and guess what the doughnut is gone... Yup I gave in it was talking sweet nothings to me whats a girl to do. But thankfully by the time I ate it all the other doughnuts were gone. I didn't even get the chance to have another, which is kinda like chips once you pop you can't stop right.
Dang I bet I could've auctioned the doughnut to my co-workers. ![]()
Do you have time for an exercise class or DVD? If not how about a set or two of push ups and squats? Walk the dog? You might be able to eke out a few more calories. ![]()
Oh, this has been too funny! Donuts and chips....my two downfalls and I'm relieved to see that I'm not the only one. Glad the rest of the donuts were gone and you were able to get away with just eating the one.
