To any and all who are willing,

I need help with staying motivated, being held accountable and staying on track. If there is anyone who may also benefit from having a buddy to help them reach their goal let me know.

Thanks

Hi,

I am also pretty new to this site and my diet so I would love some extra motivation.Read my profile! Create a profile  for yourself also.

How much do you weigh? Whats your goal? Are you working out, obviosly you are counting calories but are you eating well?
I need more motivation. and i would love to be your buddy.
It would be great to have a new buddy!!  We all need support and encouragement
Thanks, I just updated my profile (I didn't even know you could do that). I am currently about 235 and would like to get....no NEED to get down to 185-190.  I am hoping to get back on track with working out and eating better this week. I have a gym membership and am comfortable with using weights and I sometimes do spinning classes in addition to cardio on my own. As for eating it has been a struggle, I am in the middle of moving and all our dishes, pots, pans, etc are packed up.

I just need to get on track and be consistent so that I can see change.
It's a struggle for sure but joining this site has helped me tremendously everyone is soo knowledgeable and friendly I am elated to know I have all day motivaters also add us to your friends list and then you can email us directly on this site individually. good Luck feel free to message me ! I am 220/ was 220 I  lost 8lbs so far and would like to be 180lb so we are very similar in our goals. I will keep you posted!
Yes, we are very similar in our goals and after reading your profile very similar probably in body structure as well. I am thinking that at my goal weight I will probably be around a size 10 or small 12.

Thank you so much...I feel better already and optimistic. I am going to weigh myself tomorrow morning so I know my exact starting weight and then I can set small incremental goals to achieve....stay tuned. I will be in touch.
Hi! I am also new to this site. But I also need & think the buddy system helps alot.  I would love to be one of your buddies & I could use a few myself..
Hi Denise,

Great...the more the merrier in my opinion. What are your current goals in regards to weight loss and do you have target date or any other information you'd like to share?
Well I would LOVE to make it down to 145.. I have started trying to count my weight watcher points again.  But not doing well with it. I am really wanting to be to my Goal weight by my birthday last year (haha) but did not stick with the plan so I am really aiming for Christmas to be able to look at myself & be happy.. I have found out support goes a long way. While I was on weight watchers I was doing the plan with my best friend but we have moved  and do not get to see each other.
How much are you looking to lose to meet your goal. One thing that has helped me is to set milestones and incremental dates. So my goal is to lose about 50 so I am going to set milestones of 10 lbs for every 4-6 weeks and see how that works out.

I totally need a buddy!!!!

I think im in need of a buddy. everyone around me at first acts as though they want to help and keep up. my mom was going to count with me but mmm that didnt last long... comes home with a bag of candy ( which i dont have much of a problem keeping away from) Im an emotional eater! and i dont know how to stop. My best friend is literaly half my size she is like 5foot and little but not grossly skinny she's always saying she needs to lose weight and it drives me nuts here i am at 265 sitting next to her and then she asks me if i want to go out to eat...uhh noo! Its terible to say i know she likes to be the skinny one, i told her i lost 3 pouns i was so excited because it was in under 2 weeks all she had to say was ya well i think i gained it...  I have one person that i know who helps me with this, she does weight watchers so we kind of help each other out im known as the water nazi at work! its great but im looking for a new job i just got my cosmetology license so i want to go work in a salon. But any ways if anyone has any tips or ideas to keep my self from eating when i do get up set i know i can go to the gym but the other night i was so mad and upset about some things and it was like 1 in the morning i tried so hard but finaly gave in i didnt know what to eat that would through me so far off, so i ate some fat free cool whip! but counted it in my cal for the next day. cool whip isnt that bad but hate doing that to my self. its a vicous cycle ive been like this my entire life and thats how i got here. ive lost 12 lb since ive started (no started here) and i want to keep it up but im afraid that if i dont find away to change or control me emotional eating that ill have wasted my time! any ideas????
I think is an excellent Idea.  I would love to be a part of a motivation team.  I know that I also need motivation as well and talking with other members in the same situation.  Plz add me to your list

i'm game too!

i'm 29, 248.5lb (started here at 250...then gained 4 lbs...but am back on track now!!!).  Since joining this site, i've finally gotten over the hurdle of actually admitting what my weight is...just online though..not in real life!  LOL

my mini goal is to make it to the gym 3 times this week.  (it's my goal for the entire month, to go to the gym at least 3 times a week).  I am having a tough week but in a few minutes I am going to change and head out...if i don't do it now, i won't make my goal...and i hate not making my goal.

i also merged my account into a CCPlus account which is really cool...all you have to do is go to cc.about.com and it merges everything...you can get some great exercise plans...i really like it.  of course, i only did it yesterday, so i am still figuring things out!

So im going on a mini vacation this week i leave wed, we are bringing some food with us but there is no micro in the hotel room there is a fridge any ideas on how to not blow this out of the water? i know i will some we are going to celibrate our 21 birthdays so i will be drinking some but im not going to go over so i dont gain 10 pounds by the end of the weekend, but other than that i dont really know what do to about food. we are planning to go out to eat 2 nights so i know i can get a salad or something where ever we go........ Help!
Hello alioop,

Hope you had a Fabulous weekend.  I would like to take you up on your offer incoming motivation buddies.  I do believe it is very important to have someone to talk to when you have your good days and sometimes your bad days.  Have a Fabulou week.  Talk to you later.
lol we all wanted a bubby, but no one puts any post's up here. how is everyone doing so far this week?? hope you all are keeping your self on track! im back starting monday after my weekend so far so good!! hope everyones week off to a good start

Hi All,

Sorry, I've been in the process of selling & buying a house and packing & moving for the past two weeks so I haven't really been online. How is everyone doing?  So far this week I am doing okay. I went to the gym yesterday and this morning I tried my first attempt at doing laps in the gym pool.  Swimming laps looks alot easier than it really is.   My main issue right now is eating correctly and trying to stay consistent with the gym? How is everyone else doing this week?

if you want to eat something bad.....force yourself to wait 10 minutes....if you still have the urge to eat it then go ahead...I find that in 10 minutes I have forgotten about what I wanted to bad or that I just don't want it as much as I initially thought I did....see if that helps

also another things that helps me is thinking about that regretful feeling that I have after I eat something I know I shouldn't have......it's easier for me to avoid temptation rather than just to have a little bit....it's hard but if you resist the temptation you'll be good that you did and it gets easier

Swimming laps in the pool is one of the best work outs you can do for your self!! it works everything and low stress on your joints! it can be hard at first i know i used to swim everyday and all summer (yes even in ice i love the water) i was a chunky fit kid when i swam but when we moved to FL (2000)with no pool and just this year the gym i used to go to had a pool i went swimming it was a little hard, just work on doing it right not how fast you can go im not a fast swimmer by any means but i can about out last anyone i know.

that tip about the waitting 10 min is a good idea i make my self drink a glass of water first then think about it again lol and about the regret too bacause i wont want to put it down that i ate it so normaly i end up convincing my self not to eat it
