Ok, so here's the deal..

I'm a female, I will be 18 in july, I weigh 200-205lbs, I am 5'5 and a medium frame.

I have been exercising anywhere from 25minutes to an hour and a half everyday of the week.

I have tryed to cut down on foods.  This is the part I am struggling with.  I am, however, eating healthier than I was.  I would only eat one meal a day because I'd sleep all day and that meal was about 600-700 calories.  Now I try to atleast hit 1200.

My only problem is..

I don't have anything to do all day!

I don't have a job because I am moving next month and don't really need one, and school is out so I am done with that even though that hardly counts because I did cyber school this past year.  and I'm always home alone.  My boyfriend and I exercise when he gets home late at night.  So I usually end up sleeping all day.  I go to bed at anywhere from 2 am to 4 am.  and I woke up today at 3:40 pm!  I just, can't find anything to do to stop me from sitting around and eating all day.

Go for a walk! well...

I live in a really populated area, and I don't like to walk or exercise around people (i'm really, really, VERY self consious).  I don't feel that I should exercise too much a day.  I think an hour is good.

my exercise consists of:

10 minute walk to the park

5 minutes or more of stretching (if the grass is dry)

kicking a soccer ball around with my bf (doesn't sound like much but I work up a sweat!)

and walking the track 3-5 times.

then 10 minute walk back home.

and maybe some pushups or crunches here and there.

Yes, it really doesn't sound like much.. but listen here!  I am coming from a TOTAL couch potato eating anything I wanted anytime.  and now exercising everyday and am more consious of what I eat and when.  and I am drinking more water.

I have been doing this for..eh..about a week and a half..and I haven't seen ANY results.

I feel that since I have made such a big change, I'd see a big change.  and I am just getting discouraged.

I still eat candy, here and there.  I don't deprive myself.

I think I'm not seeing change because I sleep to much. Could this be?

HELPPPPPPP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

I have a crusie in september and I want to be a little more confident in a bathing suit!

There are so many people who could use your help - even for a month, a couple of weeks, or even a few days!

I can not tell if you are from a small or large place but I do know that EVERY place has need for volunteers.

This is your opportunity to do something you love to do in connection with helping others.  What do you LOVE to do?

Helping others definitely gets you out of yourself and feels great plus it looks good on a resume.
Hi meggymouse!

I completely understand where you're coming from: in fact, I'm in a similar situation. I'm in university, and my classes ended a month ago. I'm planning to get a job, but I haven't found anything yet, and I've been lazy in my search anyway :0 My friends are in summer school, and unlike you I haven't got a boyfriend, so I'm pretty much alone at home all day too ... which can lead to constant worries about weight and such and constant eating!! Both because of boredom, and because of nothing to distract me from being hungry.

The trick is HOBBIES. I've got loads of hobbies: reading, sewing, drawing, writing, and television of course. You'd be surprised how even simple things like this can turn boredom around. Think about things you enjoy, and starting developing some interests to pass the time and make life more fun. Remember, time is a blessing and so is life, so we should take advantage of it to learn, grow and enjoy ourselves. There's a lot to do out there--too much, really, and the more we experience, the better.

Hobbies that get you out of the house are best of all. Shopping, sightseeing, even just going out for a coffee. No point in staying home all day--just because you've got nowhere in particular to go doesn't mean you can't go anywhere!

Finally--exercise. DO NOT feel self-conscious. Walking is wonderful!! I walk for at least an hour each day. Sometimes I listen to music, sometimes I just think. It doesn't matter what you look like: just get out and have fun! Or, you could join a gym, which will give you a chance to get out, and get exercise!

Just remember: life is full of things to do and see, and there's more to it than food and dieting! If you want to lose weight and be healthy and happy, you can. And if you're still at a loss, come and chat here. You're welcome to message me if you want to talk. (I still get bored too!)

Good luck!!
Hi meggymouse,

I responded to your question in your journal, just so ya know!

Have a great day!

Instruction to not eat candies: Don't buy them!

You can't eat what isn't there.  You can't be addicted to sugar, it's much easier to quit sweets than to quit smoking, I never smoked however I know that almost none can quit it, and I had a pretty easy time quitting sweets completely.

Stay at 1200 cals(or higher, just stay below your as I read "light activity" allowance this site gave you), move arround, get a hobby, anything will do, you don't even need a sports-hobby, painting or playing chess or something is also a hobby that can at least help you to stop thinking about food all the time ;)
I say this with empathy and understanding, but you have to hear it.  SHAPE UP!

Get it together!  You sleep too much.  YOu don't exercise enough.  You aren't eating healthy food.  I think that everyone on this website is self-conscious about their bodies, otherwise they wouldn't be members.  You have to get to a place where you can move beyond the self-consciousness - we ALL are!

If you go to sleep at 2, get up at ten.  If you go to sleep at four, get up at noon.  Buy some workout videos.  Go for a walk - anywhere!  Around a park, in a mall.

Your lifestyle is not healthy.  There is nothing nutritious about a candy bar.  It isn't about depriving yourself, it is about feeding your body with fuel that it wants!

You seem surprised that you haven't seen results - why?  You are eating candy, sleeping 12 hours a day, and not exercising.  Start taking control of your life!  No one else can do it for you!

Good luck, and please be proactive...
