Quote  |  Reply
Yesterday, i had a little party, and i binged big time. Today i would like to 'detox' myself and also exercise hard. I normally cycle for my exercise, but i cannot get out on my bike untill this afternoon (its 9am now in britain).

So i was wondering what workouts i can do at home this morning? I dont have any gym equipment either...

Thanks

There are lots of simple exercises that can be done w/out gym equipment at home.  Crunches, squats, lunges, tricep dips using a chair/couch.  If you want to add cardio, put on some upbeat music and jump/dance around the house for a couple of minutes between sets of resistance work outs.  For bicep curls, find a can of soup/veggies, whatever you've got around and use that as a weight.
Run in place, run in place, run in place!

I read your post earlier this morning but didn't want to recommend jogging in place without giving it a try myself first, and I've been too busy jogging to respond!

Turn up the music, start off at a light jog, and whenever the music hits your soul, kick those legs up as high as you can and pretend you're running to something you want really bad.

And if you can't think of anything you want, put a twinkie on your desk, back up two feet, and let 'er rip.  Unless twinkies aren't your thing.

I have a great workout video that I use at home and the only thing you need is a set of 5lb dumbells (get them as small as possible otherwise some of the exercises can be akward).  It's from Prevention magazine. Here's the link www.preventionvideos.com ;
It's called the 3-2-1 workout.  I bought my copy on ebay for a little cheaper than you can get it on the website, but it has been awesome!!!

Dr. Oz (You On a Diet) 20-minute workout requires absolutely no equipment and you will really feel it.  It's available on Oprah's website.  It was in the April edition of O magazine.

For cardio at home you can jog in place as someone else said, or you can do "step" aerobics on stairs.

For weights, just about anything will do - water bottles, cans of soup, big books.  Good luck

PS - of course if this were me, I'd just go outside for a walk or run, rain or shine :-)

Body weight calisthenics.  You can search the web for good routines.  Here is one example:

Jumping rope is excellent.
