Help o.O im GAINING weight
Ive been exercising regularly and been pretty adamantabout my diet, but not only have i not been losing weight, i now weigh 144 which is the most I've ever weighed in my life ! I just don't understand it, is there any rational explanation for whats happening????
do you look fatter and flabby? or do you look more toned and fit? if you look more toned and fit, then you're gaining muscle. measure your inches lost and body fat % instead of using the scale.
ive always had sort of a warped idea of what my body looks like, so i look fatter or thinner depending on my mood o.O which is why i usually rely on the scale to let me know, but i dont seem any more toned and thats why none of this makes any sense o.o

if you're keeping track of your calories, eating a variety of healthy food, drinking enough water and exercising regularly then anything that you "gain" is not fat. i would suggest you buy a measuring tape and record your inches every 2 weeks and go by that. weigh yourself only once a day, in the morning, and log it on the cc weight log. then follow the trend line to see your real progress. if you can get a scale that also measures body fat %, then go by that.. since weighing less doesn't mean you'll be thinner. and you don't want to be skinny fat!
anyways, keep up what you're doing.. your body will balance out. you have to give it some time though. if your clothes still fit or are looser a month from now, then you're fine.
This is also is happening to me. I don't get it either. I use the food log and exercise religiously. I find the more I exercise the fatter I get around my stomach. I have been at this for now four months and it is frustrating as hell. I haven't lost one pound and my inches are still the same and some days bigger so I know that it can't be muscle and I've heard it takes about one month of hard lifting to gain about two pounds of muscle. I have just tried increasing my calories because someone said maybe I wasn't eating enough, so I've been trying that but so far just negative results, but I'm not very patient. ; )
i have been experiencing the same thing. i have only noticed that some days i feel thinner - not on the scale, though - after lifting. i have tried to lift with heavier weights and mix in more cardio with weight training - pseudo circuit. i'm ready to give up! =(
Arg I'm the same! Ive been CCing seriously for 2months now, cals varying 1200-1800 and I feel as though my things, stomach and love-handles have only increased in size. And worse my body fat percentage has increased to 30% too! What is going on??
