Say thanks? :P

umm....maybe i dont want to be pale

i need color..people are attractive to people who look healthy =D

People are also attracted to mates they know won't be dying or disfigured from skin cancer ten or twenty years down the road.  Sunburns before 21 increase your chance to develop skin cancer significantly.  If you are that concerned about it, go buy some Jergens glow lotion.  Chicks dig guys with soft skin, anyway.

i was thinking more along the lines of vitamin pills?

and wats wrong with a light tan? im not a tanner or anything, but there are ways of safe tanning isnt there?

Well, there are tanning beds and those spray tan booth thingies. You could use that lotion that gives you gradual color? Maybe pick up a bronzer to highlight your cheek bones?
Judging by your picture you look fine.

I'm not one for tanning beds or any of that.
I get a bit more color naturally during the summer simply from being outside in the sun more.

.....people are still attracted to me in all my pale glory.

Garrett: It's unfortunate but tanning period (even in the beds, which have even more risks) is unsafe.  If you wear a moderately high SPF lotion and go do some yardwork over the weekends or do sports or whatever, you will still tan with the lotion on, but it will help protect and moisturize you skin to keep it safER.

The sun is harsher and more dangerous between 10a and 4p, so early morning and early evening will be the safe(st) time to be outside for extended periods.

Always wear UVA/UVB protection sunglasses when you are going to be outside to protect your eyes, and chapstick with SPF (super thin skin on the lips burns much faster, and no one finds split, scaly lips perty).

Good luck.

 oh yeah thats manly lol

and i wasnt implying that pale people are ugly...i just need a little color, would vitimin pills do anything? maybe eat alot of carrots? idk

Carrots: Only if you want to look like an oompa loompa lmao.

Embrace your paleness! Love who you are! If someone doesn't want to be with you simply because you're pale then they aren't worth it anyway!

^ Yea, and I believe you would have to eat an insane amount of carrots to even get that nice orange color.

Sorry, I don't know much about vitamins, so I can't help you out with that. Someone else might come along that does.
Summer is coming though right? You'll get some color naturally if you spend time outdoors. Still wear sunblock though. I get tan even if I'm wearing spf 30!

Don't stress about it though! I've never not been attracted to a guy because of his skin color. Unless...it's that really fake orange tan that doesn't look good on anyone.

Tell them they'll have wrinkles/skin cancer and you won't. :)

Im not.

Are you getting enough iron?

look at Nicole Kidman...now I ask you, who looks better, her or George Hamilton? :D

besides, it's currently popular to be pale! You could totally capitalize on that!

seriously though, I'm pale too. Last winter I decided to try tanning and for $100, all's I got was a slightly darker shade of pale. Think: winter white-->eggshell white. So I gave up the tanning, dressed in all black, and reveled in my paledom.

FWIW I personally think you look great. :)

Carrots have different effect on different people. They made my skin gain more of a yellow-ish than orange-ish hue, some people even asked if I had liver problems (I`d had bloodwork done and my liver was in tip top shape). Thank goodness for the spring sun and heat, being an amateur cyclist means I get a slight tan whether I like it or not. And it masks the carrot effects quite elegantly.

OK, for the record, I am also incredibly pale and am normally okay with it, but I do also admit to wanting to look less reflective (ahem) in the summer sun. Why don't you try self-tanning creams? I really like L'Oreal's Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Lotion with SPF 15. It's not streaky, actually gives my legs some color, and the SPF is a nice plus. You're not going to look like a beach rat, but it definitely does make a noticeable difference.

kk ill try them out. my grandmother keeps saying "are you ok?" "you look pale" and i hate it. =/

 thanks for the help guys

Ohhh, pale boys (and girls) are nummy. Unless your skin is naturally dark (due to genetics/heritage), I think a tan looks universally bad.

Why would you want to be the saturated orange-brown color of diarrhea?  D:

But since you didn't ask for criticism of your choice, I'll say: Carrots are a ridiculous way to go. Regular tanning is unsafe (my dad has skin cancer, so trust me on this one). Injections that increase melanin are being tested but not approved for the general public currently. Your best option would be a spray tan (though they always look horrible), or build up a gradual bronze tint using a lotion (found at any drugstore).
