Help me pick out a good meal at Joes Crab Shack
Hubby and I were gonna go on a date tonight. I am trying to learn how to enjoy life WITHOUT so much on my plate... (haha)....
We were gonna go to Joe's Crab Shack and I can't seem to find a menu - or a nutrition guide.
I was thinking fish - it's lean right? Yea but then what if they add butter - ack ----
General rule of thumb for me lately - a protein choice and 2 veggies with a little bit of healthy fat (olive oil, nuts, etc...) But now I am going out to eat and I can't seem to find something that will let me plan this out.
BTW I love crab - I know they have steamed baskets but was hoping someone knew of a good plan.
When I go to restaurants that I cant preview the menu....I usually end up ordering the fish. Ask them to serve it w/ no butters or oils.
Skip all fried foods....why not a nice salad and broiled piece of fish? Or can you do the crab w/out butter???
this is why I am NOT going to JCS.... There is no possible way I could go there and not get a bucket of crab legs OMG... i'm drooling...
I would stay with a fresh salad and dressing on the side. Any fish would suffice as long as it's not fried and a side of steamed vegetables.
Just an idea although I'd have a hard time staying away from that fried shrimp :)

If you have adobe you can use this website to view their menu :) Hope this helps!
The grilled shrimp looks nice if you manage to get the sauce on the side. You can pick out the veggies and leave the rice on the plate, I assume it`s going to be white anyway.
Personally, I'd go with one of those new Steam Pots. Looks good to me!
