I weight 130 pounds. THis is not me, not who I am! My goal is to weight 115 pounds. However, I am unsure how many calories to eat to get there. I excercise around twice a week, I would rather round down that up. I am 17 and 5' 2''. Please help me! I dont count calories now, I used to. I am unsure how many calories to eat to lose this weight! I need help from someone, please guide me in the direction of which i should take!

- Eat better. Base your meals around vegetables, choose wholefoods and wholegrain foods in moderate amounts, use oils, meat and dairy products sparingly, get plenty of variety, eat regularly, cook meals rather than use packets, drink plenty of water. By eating better you can improve your shape and tone and possibly lose a few lbs of fluid.
- Get moving. Exercise twice a week should be increased to 1/2 - 1 hour most days of the week. Rather than 'exercising' as a separate activity, make a conscious effort to build more movement into your everyday life e.g. using stairs rather than lifts, getting off the bus a stop earlier, walking rather than driving. A good technique is to get a pedometer and aim for 10,000 steps a day. The extra energy burned will help control your weight, plus toned bodies look slimmer.
Do these things conscientiously for a few weeks and see what happens. Calorie-counting should be an absolute last resort.
Apparently one pound is 3500 calories.
You need to cut down by 3500 calories in order to lose one pound. The best way to do that is to cut 500 calories a day out of your diet.
So figure out what your eating every day at the moment and reduce that by 500 a day and you'll drop a pound a week!
