i have started it 3 days ago but i have only managed to eat 3/4 of my breakfast, lunch, half of my afternoon snack and most of my dinner. it is not that i feel full but i just cant persuade myself that it is ok for me to eat all of the above. i know that the food and calories are not a lot and this afternoon i was even feeling hungry after i had half of my snack. i need some help pleaseeeee. how do you motivate yourself?? i really want to gain weight because i dont like the way i look but i cant stop thinking about the calories!!!!
Food is energy (calories)... and you need energy to function properly physically and mentally. You can't run a car on no fuel and expect to reach your destination. Bodies are no different.
But aside from energy your food is providing you with nutrition. The milk, cheese and those cereals are giving you calcium that stops your bones from crumbling and means you're less likely to be in constant pain when you hit your 50's. The olive oil on your lunchtime salad is providing your body with Vitamin E... which keeps your skin in good condition. The fruit, vegetables, rice and bread are adding fibre and vitamins. The chicken is providing you with iron ... being anaemic is a horrible thing. The chocolate cake is because food is not only nutritious... it's also pleasurable.
How you motivate yourself? Keep telling you that you want to gain weight and that you need to gain weight. Eat a little quicker rather than pushing the food around your plate and make yourself finish it all. As you eat more, your appetite will improve and it'll be less of a struggle each day. Best of lcuk
