Help with recommended calories
I'm a little confused about recommended calories. My goal says 2300, but when I filled out the info at the beginning, it said I should eat 1400 to reach my goal. I didn't specify a timeline to lose the weight, just that I wanted to lose 13 lbs. It seems like 2300 is a lot. Thanks!
Hey I'm Jessie! My goal is to lose 13 too! I think that it says in order to lose the weight by your goal date you'll have to eat 1400 a day. I think.....but i was confused as well! lol
Any idea, then, why the eat meter says 2300? It makes you feel like you should eat alot more than you really should. And then do we add extra calories for any extra activity? So, if I burn 100 extra calories I should add that to the 1400? I really want t make sure I don't sabotage all my efforts by not eating enough, though I feel like even at 1200-1300 calories I'm eating plenty! ![]()
The eat meter gets set by you. Usually when you sign up, it directs you to the calorie target tool, and it helps guide how much to set it for, but sometimes that doesn't happen (or people skip the step, I'm not sure).
Anyway, you can change it in account settings.
Oh, okay. I figured it out. you have to set your own eat goal.
2300 is how many calories you will burn everday.....that will maintain your current weight
i would recommend eating between 1400-2300 everyday...trying switching your caloric intake everday...it will keep your metabolim boosted so that you don't plateau around 5 pounds. try to cut 3500 calories from your diet weekly (3500 is 1 pound)....it will be easy to maintain your weight loss this way.
Is my sodium intake too low?
You have nothing to worry about because sodium deficiency is extremely rare. In fact, there is not even an recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA... Read more
